THE ANTI BONNIE THREAD by a bonnie loving fan!
JAMESPEARCE91

HI ANTI BONNIE-ISTS,

I have decided to open an anti Bonnie forum to get out all you anger on her so it doesn't have to ruin the posts! All I have seen all week is Bonnie would spend most of time on arse, she doesn't deserve to win and other such comments. Now everyone is allowed an opinion I agree but I think it has got a bit OTT and although I respect your judgements I think it should stay controlled.

I will not be revisting (unless to post persuading pieces) and hope the anti - Bonnie ness will decrease in the forum!

Not saying you have to vote for her!

Jamesx

I would say Bonnie to Win but defeats object of thread!

i think bonnie seems a lovely lady and a wonderful person, none of my comments are personal to her. it is the simple fact, just go onto the dancing on ice webby and watch her performance from saturday and apart from the spin she did she doesnt let go of matt at all most of the time she isnt even touching the ice its a fact go watch the video she doesnt skate she holds on to matt

stefan has to do ALL the skating (you dont see him being carried around do you???) aswel as that he has to lift a skater and skate with her. would someone like to explain to me how on earth being carried around the ice (or supported) is harder than skating yourself and lifting someone else go on i bet you can't

Quote for the 'Bonnie Thread'

Quick Stats for the last performances

GIRLS - Gaynor spent 26.6% of the time actually on the ice unsupported (can hold hands without tension or individual) and Bonnie 32.3% (I know its sad but I have done this for previous weeks.)

BOYS - In terms of the boys, Steffan did better with the moves however, David's moves were of a higher scoring possibility and if the HB move had gone right, David might have gone into 2nd as well.

Yes I am a sad loser but will fight out my case!

it makes the comments that Bonnie skates the least a bit redundant

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Benjamin Disraeli
British politician (1804 - 1881)

Statistician: A man who believes figures don't lie, but admits that under analysis some of them won't stand up either.
Evan Esar, Esar's Comic Dictionary
American Humorist (1899 - 1995)

Statistics: The only science that enables different experts using the same figures to draw different conclusions.
Evan Esar, Esar's Comic Dictionary
American Humorist (1899 - 1995)

I rest my case!

Well said podge1

James - "statistics" - your source?- not from the same programme I watched surely

I'm always wary of people quoting statistics, they can be manipulated, you know

james i know how proud of this thread you are, and as it was in danger of being buried without trace i decided to put it back on top of the pile.

Good. I do want it at the top podge!
The stats are my own after I timed the performances and the lift times etc and calculated them.
Nice to know that you are trying to turn on me despite me only liking her!

i think you'll find it was noz who questioned the source of your stats. james - try not to be sensitive

But the same can be said for Gaynor who actually spends more time in the air, only not as high (for obvious reasons ) and not as spectacularly.

At least Bonnie has pulled off her required elements, including an excellent spin in the skate-off this week.

I can't imagine poor little Kristina being able to lift Stefan 2" off the floor.

There is a skill to being able to perform the moves Bonnie is performing in the air. It is not just a case of being lifted. The lifted skater then has to get herself into the necessary positions in the air and the necessary pose for a safe landing. This is something that none of the other female celebs seems to have been able to manage, particularly Gaynor and with the possible exception of Kelly.

there isnt much skill to performing moves in the air as ive done vaulting, gymnastics on horseback, before and all you have to do is hold yourself i cant explain it) but tis not that hard. bonnie doesnt get into any pose for a landing really as matt just puts her down and then continues to hold onto her its nothing personal towards bonnie i like her as a person and if this week she lets go of matt and skates HERSELF i will vote for her. however i will stand by what i said that att he moment she doesnt skate herself, oh if we want to be picky the spin she did she did let go of matt but for the rest she didnt let him go

I'm not a Bonnie hater, but I'm not a fan. She looks very uneasy on the ice and gets much higher marks than she deserves, whereas Gaynor has earned her gradual high marks by making a steady improvement. Bonnie's not much improved since week 1.
Sad to say, I think Bonnie will come third because the judges have been talking her up. She can go out there on Saturday and put in an Olympic performance but still won't get praise from us viewers.

I wouldnt say those comments of there being no skill to performing moves in the air to Sinade Kerr after what she said in her Olympic interview

i didnt say there was no skill i said there wasnt much and its different at a higher competeing level the lifts that bonnie does are no were near as hard as the moves of Sinade Kerr its stupid to compare the both of them. anyway bonnie has the ability and that to hold herself because she is a dancer
