What utter tripe this show has been. Fixed judging from the start, "celebs" who can't even skate straight half the time, and ITV making a bundle of cash with all the texts flooding in from the single-mums and spotty kids who actually care who wins this rubbish.

Then why do you watch it?

Go post then on something you are interested in and stop trying to start an argument!
If you do not like or have no constructive criticism then no need for you to be on this particular forum.

So you're commenting on things you haven't seen for yourself, just heard about from other people?!

PMSL - whilst shaking head in disbelief!

Who made you a mod?

Are we not allowed to criticize a show on DS for simply being awful nowadays? Things must have changed.
I am interested in this show, I'm interested in why anyone in their right mind would fill the ITV coffers by voting when it really doesn't make a difference.
If you don't like this thread, I see no reason for you to post in it.

Not at all.

They have it on at work, so I see quite a lot of it there without actually watching it like they do.

If you don't watch the show I'm curious as to how you can say 'Fixed judging from the start, "celebs" who can't even skate straight half the time'

Why do you feel there is fixed judging?

In my opinion all the 'celebs' have done really well with the skating when you think of the time they have to learn each new routine.

I've watched one 'episode' of that singing contest on the Beeb. It isn't really for me so I don't watch it. So I couldn't comment on it with your degree of authority.

There's better things to do than post on things you don't watch isn't there?

have you been to your local ice rink. can you get round without falling on your arse. nah, didn't think so.
these people are putting their careers and their necks on the line. it's just entertainment - it's either your thing or it ain't: 10 million viewers suggest you are a minority. i can't stand "corrie" but i respect its production values and the work put into it. if my friends want to talk about it i can change the subject or wander off. life really is that simple. don't let it get to you. get a hobby or maybe go down the youth club more often.

You know I'd really like to see you try and stand up on an Ice Rink then maybe you would know how difficult it is and how well the celebs have done to have come on so far in such a short space of time.

Im not a single mum or a spotty kid and I enjoy watching it. So shoot me! I really don't care, what you think to be honest.

Funny !

I must say - please don't throw stuff at me - but I was totally slagging this show off before it even started. I just get sick of 'Celebrity this' and 'Celebrity that' all the time. It gets a bit boring. So when I found out John was gonna be on it I was like "Oh bugger, I've gotta watch it now!" So I just got into it and enjoyed it and got voting (for all the no good it does) and everything.

I've really enjoyed a lot of it (the John bits ). So you're right in a way, with the fixed judging and all, but everything's fixed these days anywayz so just get into it and have a laugh. Even if you just take the p*ss out of it - we do! If you're gonna be miserable and complaining all the time you'll just make people not like you. You probably don't have too many friends, do you?

Try just comenting on things you do like. You might end up with a better outlook on life .

(P.S. I'm sorry but I'm in a really silly, giddy mood and I just wanted to play along !)

They haven't had any training???? They just turn up and wing it it every night do they? Because if they do I take my hat off to them, I could not do what they are doing without some training.

I take it you're a person who makes snap judgements on people the first time they meet them. Am I right?

By losers I meant that in my humble opinion the winners of this show are ITV who are raking in the cash and the losers are the poor celebs who, as you said, are putting their careers on the line just so ITV can fill their coffers by making voters think what they vote actually counts. It is nothing personal against the skaters I just think it's very disappointing and looks pretty hurried.
The skaters have obviously worked very hard, but the show would look much better if they had been given more time so that rather than looking like they're about to fall over most of the time (except Bonnie the flyer), they could produce some good skating.

I do wonder how many of the 10 million are tuning-in in the hope that they see a serious injury though.

MIAOW!!!!

I have made a complaint about a TV show, I'm not being "miserable and complaining all the time", what makes you think I have a bad outlook on life?

Anyone wanna be my friend? No? Oh well. Plenty more fish and all that.

No I wouldn't. I'd skate around a bit and have no idea what it's like to do it after some proper training.

Fair enough. But please keep replying, because I'm hanging on your every word.

Even though you have requested it, I can't shoot you, sorry. Maybe someone else will step up and do it if you ask nicely.
