you guys have all made me chuckle very much!! and i totally think ur right giving this dayus guy hell! why bother posting ur opinion if its just to aggravate people? Im sorry but only perverse people take pleasure in winding people up diliberately. And thats exactly what ur doing....coming on a forum that clearly adores DOI and slagging it off purposely. If we werent all on the internet ud have black eyes by now and probably a few broken limbs...

I take it you're a person who makes snap judgements on people the first time they meet them. Am I right?

By losers I meant that in my humble opinion the winners of this show are ITV who are raking in the cash and the losers are the poor celebs who, as you said, are putting their careers on the line just so ITV can fill their coffers by making voters think what they vote actually counts. It is nothing personal against the skaters I just think it's very disappointing and looks pretty hurried.
The skaters have obviously worked very hard, but the show would look much better if they had been given more time so that rather than looking like they're about to fall over most of the time (except Bonnie the flyer), they could produce some good skating.

I do wonder how many of the 10 million are tuning-in in the hope that they see a serious injury though.”

Stef's dad is the dad of one of the skaters. Whether you are bright enough to understand it or not, you have insulted his son.
How would you like it? By the way; can you walk upright or do you drag your knuckles along the ground? Insults are the lowest form of sarcasm and superior attitudes usually indicate someone with an inferiority complex. So by and large you've not got much to shout about.

I gave my view on the guy's (and his fellow contestants') skating ability and I don't think it's very good. It's almost certainly not his fault, has nobody else said anything derogatory things about his skating?

That's quite a superior attitude you've got there.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, but there are much better ways to get your views over. Talk about cats and pigeons!!!

What I can't understand about this prat, is that he first calls the celebs losers. Then when challenged changes that to meaning losers in the financial sense; ie the TV company is making money out of them. Is s/he niave or just a bit thick? Doesn't s/he realize that these celebs don't sign on for this down the pub, their agents BROKER A DEAL. They are paid. Some of them, maybe have shares in the company making the show so are twice winners.
Well, that's it from me for a few days. Off to pick my lads up from the airport tomorrow. They've been out a the Olympics and then after the weekend they go back to base. I'm recording the final on Saturday. There's no way I'm going to miss that!

You really need to read the posts properly and not simply assume, asking questions would have educated you.

I'm saying that they are losers (i.e. they have lost) because ITV has made them look foolish on telly and is making a packet out of it. Their wallets may be full but their future careers have been harmed IMO.

I have not changed my position, I clarified it when attacked. Do you have a problem understanding that or are you just a bit naive or maybe a bit thick?

Even though I agree with you about ITV being the big winner I really don't see how any of the celebs are losers. They've all taken on a new challange and learnt a skill, seem to be enjoying themselves and are receiving extra exposure which in their careers is a good thing as I feel that none of the celebs have come across badly.

It's enjoyable Saturday night entertainment and if people didn't find this the case they wouldn't watch (remember celeb wrestling anyone!)

I think we'll have to agree to disagree Dayus.

Someone who disagrees with some of my post yet doesn't resort to personal attacks????? How refreshing. I hope the idiots don't flame you for it.

What an excellent post. I wish some of the other posters on this forum had your intelligence.

I feel the same.

Although I'm not really sure if much extra work will be forthcoming for the celebs (if that's what they were looking for) you never know, it could raise some profiles.

I don't think anyone's really been humiliated, as none of them professed that they'd be great anyway.

I have more of a problem with people who're showcased on shows like The X Factor, with the sole intention of poking fun at their woeful lack of any discernable talent.

The TV companies always make the biggest gain out of reality shows, surely?

Surely everyone is entitled to an opinion - if you don't agree then you can say that about the opinion but to attack the poster? It's a TV entertainment show, personally I love it - both of my favourites John and Sean have been voted off but I still watch it. There are plenty of posts slagging off some of the remaining dancers, Bonnie in particular - she's been called ugly imo you don't like her skating you can say so - but to attack her personally, well I think that is wrong.

By the way I know Dayus very well, he is a stand up comic in a dimly lit club in Wolverhampton.

It is totally uncalled for, i just hope Bonnie doesn't read these forums. Can't believe some of the cruel things i've read here.

No one should be slagged off for their personal appearence/personality surely it should only be their skating that is up for criticism..

It seems you're allowed to slag-off the skaters' ability (and more in some threads) only if you think the show is good.
Watch out saying anything bad about Stefan though, apparently the fact that his dad posts on here makes it a capital offence.

Bloody hell. Thank you for not bringing in a flaming torch and pitchfork into the thread unlike others.

I notice none of the loons have come back to have another go. They have obviously realised I am talking sense.
