If The Doctor could return to anyway, where would you send him?

I've just be listening to one of the Big Finish audio plays, where the Doctor is re-united with Peri. It made me think how strange it was that he never went back to get her after Mindwarp/Trial of a Timelord.

If I could return the 10th Doctor to anywhere from his past, I think I would probably send him back to collect Peri and return her home.

If you could return him to any where from his past, where would you send him? Where do you think he's got some unfinished business?

Perhaps a companion he needs to catch up with (not Adric, obviously)? Or a story you felt was never properly resolved?

I'd send him back to meet himself just as he was lying on the tardis floor regenerating from his sixth to seventh incarnations, I would like him to pick himself up of the floor, instead of a tetrap doing so, and bring himself directly to L.A. just before new years eve 2000 to get himself riddled with bullets and regenerate into his eighth persona. Hoorah, no seventh Doctor and the misery that came with him.

Id send him to meet Tegan, (dropping Rose off shopping at WalPlanet - Milkyway Branch). She wouldnt know who he is since hes regenerated, and then he could slip into a conversation "Brave heat, Tegan". She realises its him! They have a chat and then to make up for all the violence she had to endure they could go to Carnivalworld, and have lots of fun and be best friends again. Carnivalworld is a planet-wide Carnival, with things like Ice Warrior Ice Cream and giant Sontaran Sultanas (the name is deceiving, they bear no resemblance to Sultanas at all). Also a HUGE rollercoaster that goes right around the planet. For a twist someone could steal Tegans purse and then she talks them into a corner and then nags them into defeat. Then at the end Tegan kisses the Doctor, and she regenerates! She is a time lord!.

Might be a boring story to watch, but Tegan's presence and the bizzare twist would make it work. Might be a good story when they start running out of ideas a couple of decades in the future.

Not according to the audio play. It's 20 years later for Peri, and the 6th Doctor had to do some serious back-peddling.

"'Oh it wasn't me it was the time lords" sort of thing.

Re:Veay's Comment
One of Big Finish'es upcoming audio adventures has the 5th Doctor meeting Tegan in present day Brisbane, so it remains to be seen if the scenario does follow your suggestion....
