Landline Microwave Telephone Network
Crab Paste
03-03-2006
A few years ago, I'd say around 1997-8 at a rough guess, there was a landline telephone company advertising a new service. The service used a small microwave dish installed on the users home and connected to a telephone and power supply.

I seem to recall the service may have been called AIR. They used the song 'SOMETHING IN THE AIR' on their TV adverts. I registered for the service but the company never took off and quickly disappeared.

Does anyone remember this Telephone company or have any information about it? It's bugged me for a while and I can't find anything on the internet about them.

This company went into liquidation in 1999. Although its operations and certain assets went over to a satellite and broadcast company, but i've forgotten what its called now.
