I've been reading and posting on this soap forum for a few weeks and have noticed a distinct lack of interest in Emmerdale. I find it provides comic relief amongst the dullness of Eenders and Corrie at the moment

Sorry intj but it's the comedy thats putting me off at the moment. That explosion was too silly especially Gloria, blackened face, limping about with a platter of sandwiches. It's more like 'Carry On Emmerdale'.

Having said that I found the hit and run of the headmistress totally unbelieveable and the dire weeks that followed boring so I would really like it to revert to the old Emmerdale whose lives and loves you could identify with.

I had to laugh at a comment made by Andy and Robert when they missed the explosion, something to the effect of 'it always happens when we're not around' - not strictly true when they mowed down the headmistress and Andy burning his step-mother to death.

I occasionally watch it, with it being on 5 days a week you can dip in at any time and not really miss that much. It is the only soap I do watch. I cannot stand all the shouting which seems ever present in the other soaps.

Yes I still watch and enjoy it ! Not really too happy with the constant cast changes. As soon as you get used to a few new faces well they get axed ! Like to see Cath back some time soon.

Don't watch this week then, Trisha's mother (Lorraine Chase) appears and things get very heated!
