Stef has asked me to thank everyone who has taken an interest over the past 8 weeks and to say a big thank you to all those who voted for him.
He's not too disappointed to have finished second because having the chance to skate to 'bolero' infront of Jayne & Chris was a prize in itself.

personally i'd like to say thanks to you all for being so encouraging and kind to me since i've been here - haven't been flamed once!

and finally, as Stef drove off back to London (and initially literally into the sunset) a Spitfire flew across overhead. A nice end to this episode.

I second everything that has been said, he skated his socks off and it was hard to choose between them, but over here in Spain my firends and I were rooting for both the couples who got into the final. Good one Stefan. By the way, I loved your wire routine truly brilliant.

Speaking as a mum (my 2 sons are older than Stefan) I was very worried when he was flying. he looked pea green and must have felt awful when he landed. I kept thinking 'For God's sake get the lad a bucket'

Stefan and kristina were a amazing and they should have won, in my eyes they were the winners. Their airal routine was stunning and it bought tears to my eyes as did their bolero. I will greatly miss stefan and Kristina and the show i never knew i could get so attached to a tv programme and to people i don't know (stef and kristina) i bet the after party was brilliant, some very drunk celebs i rekon lol

stefan and kristina were great - i thought their bolero was better than gaynor and daniels but gaynor had really good routines in the first show. i loved Stefans flying routine - it looked fantastic.

As a lurker who never posts I'd just like to say how much I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments, but particularly the 'inside knowledge' from Stef's Dad, it's been great.
Never really been interested in ice skating before, but this was a great way of presenting it to a wider public. I think loads of blokes like me started watching it cause of Kristina, shame she's going back to Canada cause she could become a really big star here now cause of this programme - she's talented , gorgeous and charismatic, everything that new manufactured 'star' Chan bloody Telle from that other reality prog isn't! Stefan will probly become a big star now, I was vaguely aware of him in the Bill, mainly for shooting June's son, but I agree it's like getting to know these people, he seems a really nice guy and good luck to him. Stefan and Kristina's Mr BoJangles was one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen! For this alone they should've won: and for that alone I'll buy the DVD.
Once again, thanks to all for an entertaining forum, even Dasayev or whatever he's called, the one who slags it off like Statler and Waldorf in the balcony box! Even his posts - and the reactions to them - made me smile.

I got the impression that Stefan was more of a sportsman than many people who earn their living from sport. I.e., to him (as with some other, but certainly not all, competitors) it didn't appear to be the winning that mattered but the taking part. How refreshing!

Of course he may have been desperate to win - if he was then he's a really good actor, which is just as well as that's how he earns his living.

He really endeared himself to me when he cried after knocking out John Barrowman - and it was even more endearing that he didn't shed tears for himself when he lost to Gaynor.

He's given us some brilliant entertainment over the last few weeks and he's improved beyond measure. I hope he keeps the skating up, you never know where it might lead.

Since 1984 I have never heard Bolero without thinking of T&D - from now on whenever I hear Mr. Bo Jangles the image of Stefan, Kristina and the broom will be in my head.
