Recorded the big fight sat night on my p 530 with guide +
watched it after work sunday lost all the last round how can i assure this wont happen again

It probably ran past the end of the allocated timeslot.

You can either manually add extra time at the end, or use the functionality to pad the recording by (say) 20 minutes.

I had to adjust mine for recording neighbours at lunchtime. It always got 5 minutes before the end and cut off the last few seconds.

I don't have the manual here, but if you go to the recording schedule, and press right once (or twice), you'll get to the bit where you can change the padding on each recording. It might be possible to set a default, but I'm not sure...

Hi

I tend to:

Press Timer Record to go the schedule listing.
Highlight the title of the recording to pad.
The press Green to Edit
Press Green Again to go start time.
Knock it back so it starts a little early (watch the hours i.e. a program starting 19:00 knock back the hour to 18 and the minutes to say 55 to get 18:55 rather than 19:55!)
Press green extend the end time.
Press green to get to title
Press green to save.

Once you get used to it you can quite quickly pad the start and end times.

Quite possible you fell foul of programming toooooooo far in advance - the schedule timings may change over the week (very likely for sports events), the EPG will reflect this change, but your pre-programmed event wont
