I think you have the essence of the song right there. All you need to do is put it on a loop and you have the whole song.

Basically, you dial 2580 from your mobile phone (I think it works on any network) and then play 15 seconds of music down your phone. If successful Shazam then send you a text message with the track name and the artist. They've apparantly got something like 1.6million tracks listed on their DB.

Just be aware though that its something like 50p per successfully recognised track, although there's no charge for no ID.

But does it ever not recognise a song? I bet they will just pick the closest match and charge you the 50p anyway
