hold on a minute - just who made the first peace offering - Tara - I don't think so - she said to rhona that she hadn't expected her to have the nerve to take up the offer of a pedicure - that was pretty nasty. It was rhona by saying she would like a pedicure who made the first move ”

I thought it was very nice of Tara to offer pedicures to the group (I wouldn't like to do it. Come on, how could she not be surprised that Rhonna wanted one - when they hadn't been getting on. Tara gave her the pecidure though and very nicely by the looks of things. She then got grief from Darren for doing so. Did we see Rhonna saying thank you, no she started stirring things again. If Rhonna was offering the pedicures then I would consider she made the first move, not by taking (taking being the operative word) a pedicure from Tara. How, could Tara not be upset that she tried to be nice and got no thanks from anyone.

I quite agree. She may come out with some terrible hippy nonsense at times, but she seems a very genuine, nice, kind girl.
”

Yeah. She's very childish.
The difference is that she's not childish in a Darren/Rhona/Nigel kind of way, but in a sweet, naive, playful kind of way. In fact, she's probably the way many of us would love to be if we weren't dragged down by the evil and drudgery of modern day life.

Yes, I agree. I think that her privileges have allowed her to maintain a very nice, playful type of childishness. She genuinely doesn't see why they can't all get on despite their differences & is trying (in her own pedicurey way) to facilitate that. I think she's lovely, and would be very proud of her if she was a mate of mine.

She's never washed clothes and she's never made a bed. Sort of reveals how she has a slim grasp of reality..........

I believe Rhona asked for the pedicure as an attempt to reintergrate herself into the group. It was a peace offering. You'll notice 'leader' Tara was doing her best to ignore her during the task distribution. Must have hurt to hear Tara telling her how much she didn't like her and then watching Tara go off on one when she hadn't actually said anything negative.
She seriously needs to get herslf away from Darren. I suppose Tara can be alright, if a bit out of touch, but Darren is going to drag her down.........

I agree. She needs to stop following him around like a little lost puppy - it's sickening!

Yes - totally agree with you about Rhona - altho it would seem that whatever she does is going to be wrong for some of the people on these boards - can't agree with you about Tara though still think she's a total waste of space - her poor little me thing is very tiresome

And whatever she does will be not only ok but saint-like in the view of others!

I thought Rhona's offer to behave in a reasonable, civilized maner with Darren and Nigel was entirely sensible and their reactions simply pig-headed.

Having said which it would have been nice if she could have looked slightly less sulky when cheated out of a good old-fashioned row by Tara preferring to get on with making some tea!

Errr... maybe you missed it, but she did. Hopefully she even got through to him.

Nobody is claiming that Tara is perfect - as you well know. It's merely that many of us happen to find her much more amiable, amusing and well-meaning than say Rhona (which frankly isn't saying a whole bunch).

Now repeat after me "I shouldn't exaggerate others views for sarcastic rhetorical effect".

like the man Ray said... she did. She really tried to get Darren to make an effort, but even before she had finished what she was trying to say he told her to back off because he wasn't gonna make peace with Rhona. Tara has tried with Darren, much much more than he deserves, and I think he is beginning to see things her way a little.

I like the girl.

I couldn't stand her when she would pop up on all these other shows making a fool of herself, but she's just turned out to be a really nice, if a little troubled (although that adds to her appeal) person.

She's only telling the truth. I don't think that's a factor in how she relates to people which is more important.

Yeah definately. While those blaming Rhona are also in a small or large part also blaming Nigel and Darren, those Nigel bashers suggest that Rhona is an innocent abused victim.

Damn those dark coloured pots and kettles!

I see pot and ketle as Tara and Rhona - One is treated like a saint and the other an evil little Devil. Darren Day treats them both badly. One is protected the other blamed.....

Mesostim, as pointed out on other thread. The reason we are sticking up for Tara is that Darren has had no reason to have a go at her - his behaviour was incredibly childish - he has, however, apologised. His behaviour towards Rhonna, is more understandable, she has been incredibly rude, self-opinionated, condescending etc etc and he is surely entitled to respond, albeit, clumsily, back. It is hardly his fault if he is not as verbally articulate as Rhonna. She seems to feel this makes her superior to some of the others in the group, why?

Because she's an angry lesbian! (ducks and covers).

But actually, yes, that is a large part of her problem. She's always knocking Nigel, both to his face and to others, about the fact that he's not so verbally capable as her ("go read a dictionary instead of your damn bible", or "he talks like such a neanderthal", or whatever). If people are supposed to accept and love her with open arms despite her obvious and numerous flaws, why can't she accept that other people have different qualities to her, for better and worse?

Well - It seems to me the GBP don't like his treatment of either of them. Tara has had a fairly mild time of it (and blubs at the drop of Darren's hat anyway) - It's Rhona that has had the air time - If Rhona was the bad one (as you infer - It's all her fault it seems) why isn't she up for the challenge two days on a row - If it's still about Tara then aren't you presuming a little to much about how popular Tara is - Because she's not that great to be honest with you........
