I was thinking of getting one of these , can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be fine with sky digital or HD as it is properly HD ready.

My question was going to be if anyone knows if samsung is goung to be releasing a 1080p version at any point and is it worth waiting ?

Sharp, Toshiba and Sony have announced native 1080p LCDs for release later on in the year, however it will only be for higher end (40"+) models.

I've got the LE32R41BDX and Sky looks pretty damn good to me, with the model you're looking at having a smaller screen I can't see it looking any worse.

Yep just make sure you use good quality scart cables.

What does it look like in RGB, I too have the LE32R41BDX and a Pace DS430N, I get lines down the screen when the digibox is set to RGB. do you?

I have the LE2651BDX, same as 41 model, just faster response time and a slightly different bezel.
Picture quality is very good from SKY+ through RGB. Will be fantastic on HD !

Using the Samsung 850 player through HDMI upscaling DVD's, its pretty stunning.

No lines on mine, but when the widscreen switching happens, I get a flash of a green line!!

There are different models, but mine, the 51BDX is freeview. I dont think the 51B is though.

Press DTV on the remote. You will need to go into the D.MENU and use Cahnnel Auto Store.
If you dont pick anything up, then you may need a new digital ariel.

I may have the same problem as you using a LE32R41BX and Humax 9200:

Pictures from post 9 of that thread:

The model numbers aren't quite the same but the D could mean Digital too, mine is Analogue only. To clarify I have lines going down the screen from the Humax 9200 (and "only" the 9200) when in RGB mode, Composite the lines go away but it obviously looks awful.

Are the lines the same yours? It would really help to track it down to a problem with "our" models

My LE2651BDX is digital, and analog TV.

Connected to SKY + box by RGB scart and I do not get any issues. Picture is brill.

Watch out for interference, I had white bands pulsing across my Samsung 46in, fortunately my Panasonic DVD Recorder has an HDMI output and that got rid of it.

I have quality scart leads too, that didn't seem to matter.
