Did anyone else like her and think it's freaky that it's been ten years since she first emerged on the music scene? ”

I loved her and still have the album. After reading this thread this afternoon I played it and it brought back some great memorys. Funny how music does that to you but the 90's was such a good place to grow up in.

I love the opening music and the opening line:

"You're my love you're my sweetest thing
Don't shy away, don't shy away."

Did yous know that the reason it took Gina G 8years to release another song was becasue she got caught up in a legal matter with her record company and they didn't pay her any of her royalties for her songs (which I think they took credit for writing). Anyway she left the label (not dropped) and had to wait until the expiry of the contract until she could release anymore songs and of course by the time 8 years was up Gina G was basically forgotten about! Probably one of the reasons why she appeared to just vanish in 1997!

Another wee point - she gave birth to her baby in Belfast Royal Hospital which is just down the road from my uni! I read that in OK Mag last year when they were doing a feature on all those going in for the Song for the UK for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005.

Didnt she mysteriously 'collapse' on one? fuelling quite a few rumours.....

it was around the time of the release of 'Ti Amo', she allegedly had taken a 'substance' and collapsed on a flight from Scotland.... Could have been travel sickness pills...

Anyway when will the Gorgeous Gina be releasing the Amazing 'Tonight's The Night'?? I'd be grateful for any info PLEASE!

Let me be you lover

We are good together
No ones' gonna break us apart
You know I gave you my heart boy

Yeah but the lyrics "I wanna get FRESH with you baby, I wanna do all the things that turn you on" would be appropriate giving the carry on of a certain twosome on BB methinks!

I cant believe I had that album....but I was only 11 ten years ago so I guess I can be excused!

Go Gina G!

Gina's album fresh was a proper pop gem and as good as any of Kylie;s albums its such a shame she had all that trouble with her record deal as by the time it was all sorted she was forgotten about,,,,she did well at the time 3 top 10 plus ti amo made number 11 and she had a further 3 top 75 hits......had tele voting been in in 1996 gina would have easily won the eurovision as she is the only eurovision entrant to have had a worldwide hit since god knows how many years.
