I agree faequeen. She is aggressive. She's been done for assaulting a policeman - I've seen her regularly get into fist fights. She is a very violent woman. If the producer's had done psychological testing - as is required in all these sorts of programmes - but in this case they didn't - then they would have found out that she is a ticking bomb.

And she's being payed 15 grand to get on everyone's nerves.

Tara's beautiful! A little on the slim side but one helluva lot of people [Darren included] seem to share my opinion.

Cor, I tel you what, I didn't even intend to watch this show, but bloody hell I'm gripped. I've got a sky+ box, so unfortunately find myself, pausing the damn thing each time Rhona opens her mouth, because I can't believe what she says, so the whole show last about 4 hours!!!

She's gone in there, knowing that most people know she's a lesbian, and a few may know she's adopted too, so her attitude has been completely "I'm the disadvantaged one here, so I can say and do what I like, oh yeah and I can also twist whatever you say and make it about whatever I like".

She tried it on Tara first, making jibes about "things are alway easy Tara...", inferring that Tara's privilleged background somehow makes her point less valid, when Tara has turned out to be a gem,

Then she's tried it on Nigel, because the church hasn't got the best record on homosexuality, but has decided to put that all on

You would have had every reason to think that a couple of days ago but after Nigel's "Rhona just wants to be a man cos she's a man in all her relationships" crap last night there is no doubt in my mind that he is against her because of her sexuality. He just doesn't have the balls to say that to her face so he goes and whinges about it to Darren.

Actually, a different interpretation would be that Nigel's comment made IN PRIVATE was just venting off steam to a mate over the insane frustration and hatred caused by the caustic and calculating Rhona. Nigel even tried to call the whole thing off a few times only to have Rhona dig even even more viciously.

Rhona on the other hand insults and degrades people as much as she can, as loudly as she can, with as many people listening as she can manage, causing as much friction as she possibly can.

Just an observation.............

I don't think it's as simple as saying Nigel tried to call it off, and leave it at that. While, at some times, he has seemed keen to bury the hatchet, he has also privately begged Darren not to make up with Rhona, because he thinks it'll spoil their clique.

I'm not a Rhona fan particularly - I certainly wouldn't want to spend time with her in the jungle, and I think she could well learn to be more tolerant, less demanding, and less critical in social situations. However, I really don't think she should be held responsible for this situation in it's entirety.

What's worse? Suggesting to Darren that he stays away from her (surely this would lead to less arguments and as such is a good thing?), or being the tornado of destruction we know as Rhona?

And yeah I agree, it's not all Rhona's fault, Darren/Nigel are almost as bad, but you've got to admit that it's always her to start things off.

But Rhona is acting on what she THINKS people think, not what they actually do, which is effect, acting on what she thinks of people, and not what they have demonstrated themselves to be. To me she is the worst type of biggot, because has the intelligence and experience to know better, but instead uses womanhood, and her being a lesbian, to hide behind, to mask her really insecurities, which are that people may actually just not like her for her. Nigel can bulldoze right in there too, but to his defence, he has not once suggested that others might not like him for any other reason that they just don't like him.
