Think if anything Doctor Who faces more competition from Bleak House and Jamies School Dinners. Bleak House was quite an innovative concept and was warmly received by the critics and the public. Jamies School Dinners hooked the viewing public because it affects most families in the UK and kick started the campaign.

Still I voted for Who even though I did enjoy Bleak House.

I feel that Jamie's School Dinners was brought about for self-promotion ....

I found the choice between Bleak House, The Apprentice and Dr Who very tough ...

Don't get me wrong, I think Dr Who was certainly worthy enough to be nominated, I just don't think it deserves to win.”

Largely spin. Improving school dinners requires money. Gordon Brown hasn't provided enough to make a difference - something cheap will replace something cheap. The real bit of the response was to set up another Quango to deal with it which means the government is no longer to blame and the quango will always be working hard on the issue whenever anyone next asks any difficult questions why not a lot has been done.

Focus groups and spin are the buzz words of the day as is being PC. We are living in a nanny state! Still think we are in dire need of crusaders like Jamie Oliver as otherwise the Govt would not get the kick up the a**e and these issues would not get highlighted.
