So - Mr Benn will have to undertake the snakes alive task ...

Anyone fancy laying odds as to how many stars he'll be able to retrieve from the tank? He really upped the ante for himself by predicting that Tara would fail miserably in the jungle shower

Pedro - I'll be watching closely to make sure there's no trickery (if they are faking it then knowing ITV you'll see Nigel's hand approaching the tank ... a white hand retrieving the star ... and cut back to Nigel smiling and waving the star )!!

I just wish Nigel would pull a Sunita and leave... I thought he'd be great, but he's just been acting like a childish, whiney moron from day one - I have yet to notice him put himself out for anyone in the group, so it wouldn't surprise me if he wimped out of the task completely in the end!

Honestly, he makes Chris Eubank's performance in CBB look normal and friendly. At least Chris seems to understand what entertainment is, in his way...

Here's weird:

He was happy to play the boxing partner with Rhona (even after the arguments started - assuming it wasn't all cut out of sequence!) and Nell (fair enough ) but Tara made a bit of a crap effort and he walked off and left her there.

Fair enough she was being a bit crap but I found it quite odd. It looked to me (and I accept that it could just be me) that he did that deliberately.

I wonder why?

It'll be interesting to see if there's any more of the same ...

I'd forgotten the boxing thing - you're right, that WAS weird... I don't know how to explain it, either. It almost looked like he deliberately wanted to humiliate her - or he was scared that her (genuine) ineptitude was some attempt to humiliate him - or something else? It was very odd. This series is quickly becoming compelling for all the wrong reasons!

I believe that Tara was so bad that he considered it a waste of time. Still a bit childish, he seemed really angry about it. Or perhaps he feared he'd snap her like a skinny twig.....

I thought that was odd, too. I thought Tara was rather good about it, though. She made a face at him, but then carried on treating him perfectly nicely, which I don't think I would have done when someone had just tried to humiliate me. I mean, she clearly didn't know what she was doing, but I think she just wanted to join in with the others, & he very deliberately excluded her.
Why?

Why not? He tries to exclude Rhonna as much as possible - Perhaps he has a problem with socialites as well as lesbians. (Although he may not have trouble with lesbians - I merely quote from last nights show).

Hmmm .... he's not really coming across as being very nice is he? Not yet up down to Frank Bruno's benchmark on Celebrity Sleepover but heading that way.

I can't wait until tonight

I just can't believe how much of a woos he is for being an ex-boxer. He's scared of spiders although his wife had to admit that one for him and he's scared(!) of the cold water in the river/stream....he's going to be stinking by the end of the two weeks if he doesn't get in there!

Can't wait to see him with the snakes tonight.....I don't think he'll succeed....

Maybe I'm just being mean here but I'd love to see Nigel fail with the snakes and then have to put up with Tara (whom I must admit I'd love to see win, ) being supportive about it.

I just think that would really irritate the hell out of him.

I believe you'll find if you watch it again is the reason that Nigels got the hump and walked off after Tara started to box was that she knocked his boxing mitten out of this hand. He had to bend down to pick it up and got the hump mumbled 'a waste of time' under his breath and walked off, very rude!

I'm really pissed off because I've got to go out tonight and attend a party in honour of an Uzbeki demographer

Not that I've got anything against people from Uzbekistan, but I so wanted to see Nigel with those snakes.

I don't think a reality TV programme counts as an unmissable subsequent engagement.

Is he just getting this treatment because he was rude to the peoples darling Tara - Would you be the same if it was Uri. One rule for one and one rule for another isn't it. Be consistant......After three epidsodes people are willing to get a lynch mob together for being rude to someone with a baby voice?!?!?!

Well personally I don't like Nigel because he is a wussy, arrogant, bossy, judgmental git who at the first sign of a challenge to his behaviour hid behind the rest of the group.

I thought he could have given Tara a minute or two to sort her out over the boxing - after all she could do with some tips and he was hardly presented with an urgent appointment elsewhere! Still I can see she would get wearing 24/7!

I will say though that he was quite good at taking the mick out of himself over his cold water and spider issues and if he does the snake challenge he'll go up a bit in my estimation.

Oh and yes, of course Uri would get stick. By my reckoning he's also about as popular as a taipan in a lucky dip.

I'd love him to be rude to Uri, because Uri is a fraudulent creepy old perv IMHO. I didn't like him being rude to Tara because she is (while obviously a bit thick & rather shallow) basically completely harmless & makes me giggle. So yes, it is one rule for the creepy old pervs & another for anyone who seems to be vaguely human...

No he was more than happy to 'play' with Nell - then Rhona - but was totally rude to Tara after one feeble strike. He walked off saying she was useless and he was going to the toilet. She said she had never done it before - but he wasn't interested.
It's obvious his 'born again' status leaves a lot to be desired in the way of humility and tolerance.

Yup, quite agree, faequeen. Especially the bit about his 'born again' beliefs. Has he heard of tolerance? Not just about Tara, but Rhona too (even if she is a bit of a whinger)!

It's 'funny' how unfunny, funny people can be.
