yeah and he was telling the truth when he told a customer at the car lot, that the car he was trying to sell would keep its residual value

A the end of the day business are based on lies, its the truth. It is a sick world, there are back-stabbing/liars/manipulators, that is how business works.

There should be some kind of contact details on there - you'll probably have more luck getting in touch with him through that.
Holy macaroni! Just visited his website - what a complete load of rollocks. Does this chancer really believe he'll become a gazillionaire just by regurgitating spiel straight out of a bad 'get rich quick' book? As for him primarily being a 'family man' i.e. photo with child sitting on knee...give us a break, mate.

Marketing, OBVIOUSLY not his strength.

Well Mani said on the main apprentice forum that whenever he spoke to Syed they always spoke about their family, so maybe he is a family person. You guys try to bring out the worst in people, Syed is one of the only ones left who is worth talking about compared to the other dead plants there.

His website is indeed dreadful, however, the bit when you click on "the business" section and he "walks on " from the right, did make me laugh out loud.

He's great value though.

Maybe he is a 'family' man or maybe he isn't. That's not the point. The fact that he has felt the need to emphasise this (using photograph as 'proof') on his business touting website is what I question. It looks like a very naive attempt to somehow make potential business customers trust him more. Unfortunately, selling one's granny comes to mind instead...

There is absolutely no doubt that Syed is worth his weight in gold to the TV show - but mainly because he is coming across as one almighty blag.

Is it just a business touting website though? Having looked at most of the Apprentice candidates' websites, it looks like they have all made them in response to their appearance on the show and are trying to sell themselves (whether is be as a celebrity, a personality or a business person), rather than their business skills.

But if he started work at 16 than that's 15 years of experience which is quite vast.

Not in my opinion. I certainly did not think that when I was 31.
Then again, I am not a go getting high flyer.

Now someone like Alan Sugar I would say has vast experience.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. Yes, his website is very much 'off the back' of the show and is a bid for business, incluidng show business. Basically, it's however and whatever gets the money in.

If people fall for it, more fool them. For me it has an air of desperation about it. He should have got proper Marketing/PR advice. He's done himself an injustice and he only has himself to blame this time!

You all will say anything negative about the man who made this year Apprentice watchable. Syed is great tv value, you all must admit it.

I agree - but like Jo, he makes you want to throw things at the TV! I acknowledge that he keeps you watching the show, but that's more to see just how outrageous he'll be in the next episode. However, in terms of business he's not as good as Ruth, Paul or Ansell, for example.

Syed makes me laugh - but would I give him a job? You've got to be joking. Didn't he take over two hours to sell a car - and then they were penalised last week for not getting back in time!!

I just love it when he keeps interrupting SAS who constantly tells him to shut up. He reminds me of the naughty scallywag - he irritating but we've all got a soft spot for him.

Ruth's profile has probably risen the most of those left - but she's hardly likeable. She always seems to be on the attack: you know "I'm not taking any crap from anyone".

To be honest if this lot represent the cream of Britains entrepeneurial skills I'd suggest we all make for the lifeboats.

I wouldn't hire him either! You're right - he took ages to sell that car! A "better" salesperson, like Ansell, Paul or Ruth, (despite the latter two's flaws - arrogance, attitude, inability to understand profit, etc), would've been able to close that in half the time, or realised they were just dithering and moved on to somebody who did want to buy! I think Ansell is the best candidate overall at the moment, okay so he didn't do a great job as PM in the car task, but I'd still hire him without a doubt. He's a great salesman, well liked, good at building relationships and works well in a team.

I don't really believe they are the "best" business people in the UK for one minute, but I do think a lot of them are good "TV personalities". In the same way that Jo and Syed are infuriating - and make you want to throw things at the TV, people like Paul and Sharon can equally have as much abuse as the others. While most of the comments hurled at the screen by the viewer are at Syed, I often find myself shouting something like "f++k off you tw+t" at Paul when he starts spouting just how great he is at something and how he's the best, etc, for example.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he's a great person or a good business man.

But Syed is a salesman, and that is what Sir Alan is leaning on.

He is a SHOCKING salesman!!!!! I wouldn't buy a single thing from him if he was the last saleman on earth!!!! His pushiness, clear sycophancy and obvious BS stand out a mile off and would make me very very wary of anything he was trying to sell.

I agree that he makes good TV, but not (for me at least) in a likeable, positive way.
