Does anyone know the name of the woman who sings on Mad'house's 'Like A Prayer'?

Madonna did the song originally, I'd assume they've used the original vocals rather than re-recording them with someone else singing.

You would be wrong, in a way, with that assumption.

The released track is based on a bootleg which had Madonna's accapella over the top of the Black Legend "Trouble with Me" bassline.

Rather than pay the absolute fortune that Madonna would demand for the use of her vocals on the released track, they simply re-recorded them with some italian bint.

As has happened with Blownout/Cuban Boys upcoming release of Rhinestone Cowboy, it can often work out cheaper to get someone else or even the original vocalist to re-record the vocal rather than use a sample.

Actually the bassline is from DMS's 'House Of God' which Black Legend sampled.

I assume this woman sings all the tracks as they have an album out now too!

I dunno whats on the album but the next single by 'Mad'house' is another Madonna cover, 'Holiday'. Its sh!te!

Yip, Like a Prayer wasn't too bad a version, but the Holiday cover is not good. A shame really as Holiday is one of Madonnas best tunes

The Singer for Like a Prayer is a lovely Turkish lass called Buse Unlu, and well she **is** Mad'House! She sings all of the songs on the Album.

As a quick titbit of information she gave birth to a baby boy last week.
