As the vanilla DVD's have no extras at all I would imagine it will be part of the boxset..unless it is tagged onto the intro to The Christmas Invasion.

is it an extra? it is part of the Doctor Who canon, and is more or less an episode in itself, so I wouldnt class it as an extra, however it might get treated as one.

CIN was more of an aperitif to the main course of The Christmas Invasion

but it wasnt a clip from the Christmas Invasion, it is an episode in its own right.

I made my own dvd of the Christmas Invasion, it includes the CiN segment as a prelude to the main episode.

I used to have CiN on a video, but then my video player died, and I couldnt get the tape out, so had to throw it away.

now I have a PVR which has the Christmas Invasion saved on it.

It would make more sense to put the CIN feature into the intro of TCI. Would flow much better imo.

yes I think watching TPOTW and then TCI, you might wonder why the TARDIS has returned to Roses estate, other than that its all covered in TCI.

My christmas invasion dvd has the CIN thing play before the christmas invasion, then it has the optional commentry over the TCI, then it has the backstage at christmas thing from the season 1 set after it. It's a better disc than the official one!

The CiN thing is in no way neccessary for the viewing of the christmas invasion, plenty of episodes start with the tardis landing somewhere with no explanation to why its going there. It's just a nice little taster of Tennant's Doctor.

The only trouble with having it at the start of TCI is that the Doc has 2 conversations with Rose about being ginger

True but nice for those to have the CIN extra if they want it. Perhaps like on some of the DVD's you can have the option to watch it with or without. Then everyone is happy!

i dont think you should add it to Christmas Invasion at all, just treat it as if it was an episode.

It was only on for ten mins! A mini episode!

Bearing in mind that it was specially shot for Children in Need, there's no guarantee that it will ever appear on DVD.

True.

Maybe they could include it in the dvd and give a donation from every sale to this year's CiN?

Yes, probably. I'm just playing Devil's Advocate, really because of the everlasting arguments about Dimensions in Time.

lenght doesnt matter, when you have hte episode menu, it has 3 episodes list

Children In Need Specail
Christmas Invasion
New Earth
hell on the boxset they could give it an audio commenty.

and yes put it on the DVD and give some of the money to charity, like comic relif did with the Little Britain DVD.

Dimensions In Time was just a bit of a lark in aid of CIN whereas the mini episode was specially shot as a bridge between POTW and The Christmas Invasion.
