Out of the two challenges so far would you have chosen the bugs shower or the snakes.

I would have chosen the snakes. I don't think I could have done the bugs shower thing - can't stand slimey things yuk. My husband, on the other hand, would rather have done the shower. What about everybody else.

I suppose the snake challenge was more dangerous but I would definitely have done that one - whereas I am really not sure I could have done the bug shower. I really admire Tara for having done so. Nigel did pretty well too.

Who thinks Rhona is going to do the "burying alive thing". God, these producers, are really cruel. I wonder if the celebs knew what sort of challenges they would be expected to do.

Snakes, definitely. I've got no problem with them, and have the slightly dangerous attitude that 'well, I would've been gentler, they wouldn't have bitten me...'. I couldn't have coped with the shower. Anything with legs, or, to be more precise, anything vaguely slimy-looking that you couldn't have seen coming. It's the element of surprise that makes it far worse. No wonder she was standing as far away as possible!

I'd have done the bugs shower with a little more fairness no problem, but someone woulda gone hungry because I'd have taken the clean up shower after! I'm not afraid of snakes, but I wouldn't have liked the thought that every time I put my hand in, 2 big snake fangs were gonna sink into my arm... call me timid!

I'd rather have a close encounter with snakes provided

1. They aren't poisonous and

2. I'm allowed to beat the **** out of them if they bite me - not that I'm vindictive!

Bugs and snakes - Yes - easy - I would have stood fully under the shower and not just my skinny little arse. I also wouldn't have taken the opportunity to rub it into my feloow celebs face. Snakes - no prob - Not even if I was bitten......

Wow Mesostim, what about Rhona's challenge? Mind you it was nowhere near as bad as it sounded was it? Otherwise, what about Uri's challenge, actually eating the bugs?

I would/could have probably done all three so far with some degree of confidence, especially with the reward of a decent dinner for all. But there aint no way, no how that I would eat any bugs, worms or whatever.

Had there not been the introduction of the hand element - Rhona's challenge was a doddle. But the 'touching' was very dangerous I think and most unfair. There is no way someone in that situation would not be scared to death and get out as fast as they could - she couldn't possibly have won it.

faequeen, yes, I couldn't believe that I saw that hand. Was it the camera-man's? That really was very naughty and most unfair.

Studley, I have to agree no eating of bugs and worms yuk - I can't even eat spagetti - I dislike all slimey things Rhona's challenge wasn't too bad, but the person with the hand was out of order.

Yeah probably but then she did notice the holes before she went in and asked what they were. I would have been a tad suspicious that they need six cameras to check my well being and it would have occured to me they might slip something in if I was lasting longer then they hoped.
I wouldn't have stayed in for twelve minutes and then jumped outta my skin as soon as something touched me as I would have been expecting it (not a hand I admit but something).

I don't think it was a doddle for someone who suffers from claustrophobia like Rhona. The 'touching' was definitely out of order, even someone that didn't have claustrophobia would probably have jumped out of there quick smart. She did admirably well considering.

As for snakes vs bugs, I think I would opt for the snakes as there is less chance of one of them crawling in your ear *shudder*.

Rhona doesn't suffer from claustrophobia though, she is reported as saying that her only fear was eating bugs - mine too.

I could just about do the bugs and snakes . . . . I think but definately not eat the bugs! I wonder just how many bugs there will be? It seems as though the events are not as bad as one imagines them to be, apart from the snake challenge

I hate to think what else the producers have in store for the contestents - but don't you just lurve it

Eating the bugs will prove no trouble to Uri....he will just use his psychic powers to turn-off his taste buds

I thought I heard the presenters say she suffered from it.
