530h and pause

Hi

I just had the sky+ option disabled on my sky box due to all the bugs etc.

I now have a 530 recorder and was wondering if it was possible to have something similar to the live pause, rewind facility like on +. I know you can do it if you are recording a programme using chase, but is there any setting where it records all the time similar to plus so you can pause whenever you want?

It's possible to set up something as follows:

Set 2 programmes in the timer: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, set to record every day, using HDDr (so that they record over the previous day's programmes), and set up to record whatever is input from the SCART.

This will automatically record everything - you simply need to press play to do a chase play of the current recording...

Either set it to record, literally, all the time as shown above (but note it will only record the channel that the Sky box is tuned to). Or, at the start of your evening's viewing, just press record and then play (to invoke Chase Play) immediately afterwards.
