I do agree with you on this one. Imagine having to touch Rhona, it is so unfair. I think the hands owner should be paid danger money.

I wonder if she farted when she was buried

Are you one of the lucky ones who had his fart glands removed when he was born then Beermonster?

I wonder if it was the fake hand that they used in the snake tank?

The producers need to get a grip here - it would be a move in the right direction if they decided the task after they knew who was going to nominated so as to at least avoid any genuine phobias of the selected victim.
Word to the wise. Rhona does NOT suffer from claustrophobia. She was totally putting it on - probably in an attempt to claw back public sympathy. Rhona has a vomit phobia but that is it. In fact - she was talking quite openly before she left about things she could and couldn't do and being in a small confined space was something she felt absolutely fine about. The only trial she didn't want to do was eating bugs as she was scared it would make her sick.

So - you've all been had.

I don't think I'm particularly claustophobic but when I watched Rhona in there it scared the hell out of me. She has my admiration for lasting so long.

Point taken. But nonetheless, whether she has a phobia or not, her task was quite scary and would have freaked out anyone who went in there.

Especially when they were putting in their hand. That was bang out of order. You have to give her credit for putting up with it for as long as she did, phobia or not.

Yes - an intense dislike.

Nevertheless what they did to her wasn't fair (although if Portland is right I'm a bit miffed).

Am I alone in thinking that this task was no big deal? I expected her to be there for HOURS , not just 16 minutes tops. How ridiculus , given that she does NOT have a phobia about cramped spaces what is the problem?

well they didnt tell her that there would be things in there with her.
so I expect she felt the 'hand' and panicked. she might have thought it was something dangerous that wasnt supposed to be in there. instinctive reactions are very very hard to control and I think you are being a bit harsh on her.

A hand came through one of the holes and tickled her arm. No wonder she freaked..I would have as well if I didnt know what was coming.

ok fair enough , thats a reason for panicing and jumping out , cant blame her for that , but what was the big deal about going in there in the first place? she looked shocked and almost didnt do it ..... i was thinking "no problem , jump in and go for a snooze , wake me up when its over!" , thats what i would have done anyway.

Great minds think alike!

I was thinking I'd have gone in face down, rested my face on my arms - and had 40 winks. The 'hand' was totally out of order though........

Don’t blame the hand – it was the guy at the other end of the arm that made it do it

Perhaps it was Frank F. Spencer.
