I'm sure that sit-up will have offsite backups of their data. They couldn't really afford not to given the long disruptions and possible loss of revenue due to data loss.

oh, they're back.... with a few technical problems.

Edit: bidup and price drop back. Speed Auction has the on screen maintenance message.

Bid up has tech problems (still no web site), but price drop is back ok

bid up is showing tv warehouse, but host did com on bid up saying tech diffulculties.

EDIT: Bid up showing price-drop at 8.17am

Still having techinal problems even when i've just woken up! Speed auction tv is showing screenshop still even that starts at 8am now

When you consider that an awful lot of posts on Digital Spy say "get rid of the shopping channels", "shopping channels are a waste of space on Freeview" etc etc, this is very long thread about their technical difficulties.

If Bid TV and Price Drop were advert funded, I think that they would have made an awful lot of money in the past 12 hours judging by the amount of viewers they have had

That's a rather rhetorical statement.

Naturally, the majority of posters do not like these channels, so any problems they have will generate a lot of excitement / interest here.

Oh well I am gald that means Andy Hodgson is off air - he got scaked from LBC for being raceist and sexist on air.
