Well I for one will continue to praise CH regardless of the visiting plonkers. The others have their threads so why not Christine.

I noticed in the clips of Neil relaxing with a drink in Christine's absence (before the prog started) there was a photo of her 'ladyship' in the background complete with horns!

They certainly can laugh at themselves - but I wonder how he's coping, she seems to propel his every move!

Will we see the contestants' partners give their views do you think?

Good for you, Fae - I was just thinking we needed a `Christine rocks II' thread after the first one got closed down because of that very nasty weblice infection

(for Dr Dave: weblouses )

Long may Christine continue to shine .....

I think a lot of my admiration is how good she still looks without make-up and a comb! I'm terribly vain and look awful without my 'slap' - hasn't she got lovely skin - but so has Tara....and Nell ....even Rhona.....boo-hoo - it's just me then :'(

Very attractive, flirtatious lady.

I'm very surprised, cos I always thought she was a coniving, money-grabbing greedy old trout. But not any more. As the previous thread said "She Rocks!"

I rather like "weblice"! It's much more offensive than "trolls" - which the little gits seem to have adopted as their own benedictory description.

I agree, Christine is fantastic, and surprisingly likeable - I was so embarrassed for her by the Millionaire hysterical tears, I honestly didn't have very high expectations for her chances of not showing herself up on Celebrity... but she's showing everyone else in such a bad light - compared to her it's obvious how whiny and rather helpless they are!

She is the embodiment of a grown-up Girl Scout coping in the wilderness, and doesn't seem pampered at all. Hey, maybe she should run for Parliament in the next elections...?

Agree with all of the above

I went into this thinking I wouldn't like her, based on past performances, however she is really the star of the show so far (with TPT a close second)

I can only echo all of the positive comments above - I never thought I'd like her, but she's a fantastic lady, she's up for a laugh, stands her own ground (but with good grace), mucks in and never whinges. And I loved the photo with horns too! Good on her, she's got exactly the right attitude for the show, and is a lot more entertaining than some of the self-absorbed celebrity types that got picked!

As I said in another thread...

I really did want to hate this woman on Sunday when the program started, I have never liked her before the program and thought she would turn out to be the villainess of the series!

but I am gob-smacked to say...

She has turned out to be the most sensible of the group, and is a very practical thinker. She is turning out to be my favourite now, after the initial TPT is great thinking!

She was quite unphased yesterday when she discovered someone had stolen her knickers - and hollered in laughter as Nigel ran about in her 'smalls' .

Todays 'Mirror' shows how false some of their stories are.
It shows a photo of 'Cross Dresser' Nigel's stunt and reads: 'TV bosses elected not to broadcast these pictures but we'll show you.......'

Well I saw it - so you must have too.

I think the lady has common sense unlike some I could mention. If you were lost and you had to choose someone to help you survive then it would be Christine Hamilton. The lady is a lot older than the others but she is just getting stuck in. It proves one thing that sometimes it is wise to have an older person in the group who has seen life and has been round to provide stability.

4th night in and Christine is still shining

And when she told Nigel to shut up (good on you Mrs H) and he said 'say that again and I'll chin you' well in the Hamilton-Benn bout I know who my money would be on and it wouldn't be Nigel!!

For anyone who missed it, it was a short telephone conversation.

The presenters were enthusing about how popular Christine had become in the show. Neil was very nice, it's so obvious they still adore one another. When asked if he'd marry her again - he said he would marry her every day - if she'd ask him!

He also said that the Louis Theroux interview had done them great credit. It had shown how normal they were, how they liked a drink and a laugh and didn't take themselves too seriously.

He finished by saying how difficult it was without her - having to order from room service all by himself.
(Think he was having a laugh)

i read an interview with either neils or christine's siblings who have children. apparantly neil and christine were unable to have kids and treat their nieces and nephews as their own. they both love kids and spoil them rotton. this was why christine cried on millionaire...the charities they chose were kids ones and they were genuinely upset and felt they had let them down.
i imagine christine to be a cool auntie...my kids would love her get up and go personality and they would love neils adoring nature.
nelly - still wants christine to win

Yes they certainly are very different to the couple the hacks would have you believe. They aren't the 'conventional norm' but that's what makes them endearing. She's an extremely strong woman but with a very soft heart. It was moving to see her cry at the prospect of Rhona being buried alive last night.
