Why thank you mesostim, I'm sure she'll value your support.

Well our Christine has taken a bit of a battering tonight but I think she'll survive it. Her comment was insensitive and misguided but was done with the best intentions. She still continues to be the groups backbone so here's to the next 24 hours and another riveting episode.

I think he'll have a real paddy - it's not a rice field though is it.

She'd best tread carefully. Perhaps now she's realised what a wrong word can cause.....Or perhaps she already knew (sinister music).........

It's extremely easy to start off with good intentions and get caught up in knots when people don't or won't listen to what you are saying. I see you do it all the time........

She was the reason the argument blew up so badly last night. She shouldn't presume to know other opinions, she doesn't KNOW Nigel is homophobic.

And then to cap it all when asked by the others how Rhona believed Nigel was homophobic she didn't have the courage to own up - "well I told Rhona that's what Nigel thinks"

She should have told the TRUTH - the public know the truth and the celebs will only find out later.

from what i remember christine didn't say that nigel was homophobic...she said that rhona should remember that because nigel is a born again christian he considers homosexuality a sin. If nigel is indeed a born again christian, totally comitted to his beliefs..then yes christine does know for certain that he is homophobic.
she assumed that rhona would have realised this and was merely reminding her to give nigel a bit of latitude as he was finding it difficult to put his beliefs aside where rhona was concerned.
i could be wrong, but that was my slant on it , and until ant and dec made their comments i never gave what christine said a second thought. remember they are trying to stir up trouble between the celebs ready for the voting out.

Good balanced view Nelly..... There had been references involving Nigel, religion and homosexuality earlier in the week. It had been raised as an issue. The gay activist and the born again christian box met and one left the camp to go into hiding....

And sadly by doing so, and by her actions to that point, she's done nothing but reinforce many peole's beliefs that gay activists and the like actually are like that stereotype - loudmouthed, overly confrontational, and irrational, calling "abuse, hatred, and prejudice" at the drop of a hat.

Hell, with pretty much every other celebrity nowadays being gay/lesbian/whatever, I didn't think anyone even saw it as an issue, but apparently she does! Nigel might too, but from what we've seen he's very much kept his opinions on the matter out of any arguments with her.

You forgot to mention Tara winning Rhona's supper for her and in return she upset her so much she went off crying - not being able to eat her own. Lovely girl that Rhona.........not!

I noticed in the clips of Neil relaxing with a drink in Christine's absence (before the prog started) there was a photo of her 'ladyship' in the background complete with horns!

They certainly can laugh at themselves - but I wonder how he's coping, she seems to propel his every move!

Will we see the contestants' partners give their views do you think?
Totally agree with this. Thanks fae - you are spot on as usual.

ITV are onto a looser trying to paint Christine as a stirrer, aren't they? While her remarks to Rhona went some way to causing yesterday's outburst, their attempts to show Christine 'stirring' today rathr did the absolute opposite.

This is a shameless fluff, btw. I still want Christine to win.

It seems the unpleasent Nigel has rumbled our Christine. I'm sure if he gets agressive and starts screaming you'll all leap in to her defense (more than Rhona got)....

if ITV are not careful, And and Dec will actually be the biggest jerks of this series. Some of their comments are way off the mark, and they are too influential on the voters.

Yeah, I noticed that. At the end of todays show he started to say something and pointed at Hamilton, but Day was then told he'd been nominated again and the show finished.

She didn't scream predudice at "the drop of a hat". I don't believe the word "homophobe" even came into use untill 5 days into the show. There had been many arguements before then and Rhona had never once tried to maintain that those arguements arose because of homopobia.
I agree that Nigel was trying to keep his veiw of homosexuality under wraps but he is clearly homophobic as shown by his comments to Darren. In a way I think that is even worse. If Rhona's sexuality is a problem for him then he should have the guts to tell her to her face instead of sniping about it behind her back.
I admit Rhona has complained a lot and she has been cruel at times but I think in most cases she was just giving as good as she got. She has been verbally aggressive but never seriously threatened phsyical violence (yeah, she said she could "take" Nigel but she started laughing straight after so I'm guessing she didn't actually mean it). If Nigel had said "if you were a bloke I'd knock you sparko!" to Tara or Nell there would have been a public outcry. Just cos Rhona has a bit of a mouth on her doesn't mean she is any less vulnerable or sensitive. I believe Nigel's comments genuinely scared her.

Well put Mossopp -There really is one standard for Rhona and and different standards for the rest........

What part do you think she will be playing? Probably the evil queen or the wicked witch or the old bag.
