  • I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
Should ITV give Survivor another chance after I'm a Celebrity GMOOH ?

It occurs to me that I'm A Celebrity - GMOOH has been widely been accepted better than Survivor ever was.

It may well be because it features "celebrities", however it is an improved format on Survivor in that it gives viewers the opportunity to interact with the show in real-time throughout, unlike Survivor which was pre-recorded and lost that interactive element until the very end, when it had already been pre-determined anway.

After Celebrity, do we think that it may well be worth ITV giving Survivor another chance under this format, ie. Live, on every night, greater viewer interaction.

Maybe if ITV see this format as being succesful, they might extend it and we may well see other "I'm a ________ Get me out of Here" type shows with ordinary civilians.

I'd watch it - especially "I'm a Fireman... Get Me Out Of Here!" mmmm, firemen.... sorry, ignore the drool! Anyway, I agree that more people would be interested with the interactive element present - as a story it's really not that compelling, but as a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure it's quality (I)TV.

Interesting topic..

The last two series of Survivor was just plain and simply - terrible in my eyes. I thought series two was a massive improvment but I still hated it. Nothing would compel me to watch another series.

BUT

If they had a live show with an interactive element, probably allowing the public to decide who goes each week. It would have been more interesting to watch!

i really was addicted to survivor..both times. but i could never understand why they didn't broadcast it every day . itv took the stance of reducing the episodes when viewing figures dropped in the first series.....bad mistake....we wanted to see more not less !!! they seem to have learnt from this now , i for one am enjoying celeb survivor much more because i can watch it more. only criticism i have is that less is more with regards to ant and dec.
itv take note... we love this programme...do survivor 3 next year in the same vein and you will have a winner !!!
