It occurs to me that I'm A Celebrity - GMOOH has been widely been accepted better than Survivor ever was.
It may well be because it features "celebrities", however it is an improved format on Survivor in that it gives viewers the opportunity to interact with the show in real-time throughout, unlike Survivor which was pre-recorded and lost that interactive element until the very end, when it had already been pre-determined anway.
After Celebrity, do we think that it may well be worth ITV giving Survivor another chance under this format, ie. Live, on every night, greater viewer interaction.
Maybe if ITV see this format as being succesful, they might extend it and we may well see other "I'm a ________ Get me out of Here" type shows with ordinary civilians.
