I think the people complaining about the "nastiness" of this thread are rather missing the point.

I don't think anyone has made fun of men being, or going, bald (although I'm not going to re-read 20 pages of posts to confirm that).

We are making fun of men who try to conceal said baldness by wearing silly rugs. Which is something else entirely.

You're right. I am not the sort of person who pokes fun at people because I don't like being made fun of myself.

However, you hit the nail on the head when you said these stars are guilty of one thing: bad toupee wearing.

I would love to see Terry Wogan and Co get better wigs. They're certainly out there, and they're not that expensive. It's the celebs who wear the bag rugs who deserve to be 'outed'.

I think Cliff and Elton are sharing a wig, the styles are too similar (and I cant believe there were 2 of that style on the wig-shop shelf)

Just watching Frazer Hines on BBC1's Pointless Celebrities Dr Who Special right now and his hair is decidedly wig like.

There was a bit where he got a question wrong and went to hold is head in his hands then seemed to remember he was wearing a wig.

One of the worst ever wigs was worn by Charlton Heston.
A nasty ginger thing that seemed to have a life of it's own. In fact I imagined him taking it off at night and giving it a saucer of milk.

Can someone help me out here? Have a look at this photo.

Is that a white wig over the top of the guy's own hair?

Here's the video source:

Has anybody mentioned Olly Murs? The front is definitely a wig:

God, he's weird looking when his face isn't moving.

I noticed Steve Punt, 51, was sporting a very luxurious head of auburn hair on the One show recently.

Punt is one half of comedy double act Punt and Dennis.

When he was on Celebrity Mastermind last Christmas, Punt sported a massive bald patch at the back, as well as a receding hairline.

That's not what I saw on the One Show, as at one stage he bent his head over and his bald patch had gone too.

Just caught Tony Blackburn's bad toupee on Sky News this morning. You could see the bad join on the side.

I feel embarrassed for him.

Isn't he just?

He looks like he has the same hairstyle as Dec (of Ant and Dec) had. Hair kind of 'arranged' to cover bald patches. Not sure if its a syrup.

I think this one might be though .... http://cdn2.holytaco.com/wp-content/...-toupees/7.jpg

(not strictly showbiz, I know but for factor - its a cracker)

Just watched MOTD2 Extra on BBC1.

Alan Green the football commentator has hair at the back sticking out just like Tony Blackburn.
I'm sure he's wearing a syrup.

If you want some good wig moments then check out Bob Mortimer in House of Fools.

He's not ashamed to show off his wig.

He even has an alternative made from Wotsits!

I have only just found this thread and admit I have had a snigger Tony Blackburn is on Piers Morgan this week so I will tune in to that and see what wig he is wearing now.

When he had the dark hair the back always stuck out like the wig was made a plastic.

Jeremy Piven was a shock for me with his weave. When he was in Ellen Degeneres comedy show in the 90's (?) he was near bald. Caught him in something 5 years back and a full head of hair I thought he looked sexy without tbh

Thanks to Bella Rosa I have only just seen this topic!

It's not only the blokes who wear wigs and pieces of hair, it's some women as well like Carol Vorderman, Jane McDonald and some days Holly Willoughby's hair is longer than it is on other days and I've heard her say she has hair extensions put in that just clip in.

You can see the mesh on Ms Vorderman's wig here!

I do think Messrs Wogan, Forsyth and Blackburn must think they'll pulling the wool/hair over our eyes!!!

What's happened to Chris Evans hair in recent weeks? His hair had receded quite a bit a while back and he must have had a weave or similar because his hairline is 'rounder' in shape now and not so far back and thicker as well as much deeper in colour!

Glad that it made you laugh, and if you had seen the ginger horror you would have really split your sides.

Here's a good photo of Tony, you can see that he has a receding hairline and the fringe part is a wig:

I've studied 'his' hair from many angles. I agree the fringe is wig hair, but I think he has about an inch of his own hairline intact.

He must have a huge bald patch at the back because the wig he wears fits an inch behind his hairline and goes right down to his nape.

In the picture you've shown, he has combed the wig hair forward over his original existing hairline.

He no longer does that.

I may have another one to add. While watching Tony Blackburn on Piers Morgan show, David hamilton popped up (didn't know he was still alive ) and he must be wearing one his hair looks amazing if it's not.
