"Diddy" David Hamilton, for sure.

And what about Andrew Neil on The Politics Show? Very weird colour, texture and shape.

Not sure about Tony Blackburn - I tend to think it's a dodgy combover and the artifical texture others have remarked on is just a result of excessive lacquer.

I saw one of the Top of the Pops repeats (shown on BBC4) from 1978 and poor Tony was wearing the most horrendous syrup!

It was so obviously a wig, very ill-fitting and not very well matched with his actual hair at the sides. So if Mr Blackburn wore a wig in 1978, I think it's safe to say he does now

Anyone know about the late Ted Rogers? Again watching very early 321 episodes where his hair is thinning and greying, by the end of the series it was thicker, more styled and darker in colour. I've often wondered.

I wonder why Cliff chose to become a redhead when he started wearing wigs

Bit dodgy his wig isn't it? Who does he think he's fooling? At least make it a more natural colour.

Private Eye calls Andrew Neil "Brillo Pad" it's most definitely a wig

What was he thinking? Is he going as a bad Rod Stewart lookalike?

The rug is really bad

Not only that but look at his hands! They look like he's wearing weird crinkly plastic gloves.

Can't believe he's "only" 64.

I love how someone wrote in the DM comments he has a lovely head of hair.

I don't think they were being sarcastic either.

It's not a wig - trust me there has been thousands of posts in emabrrassment on Paul forums by fans about his hair the last 2 years..!

But you can tell in a concert when he gets sweaty that it's just a kind of buffed up comb over to try and hide the fact his hair is very thin at the back nowadays. He lets it kind of sit on top of his head, it looks so bad... but yeah it's not a wig, you see it get flatter and then look longer when it's dropped in a gig when he sweats (he plays live for almost 3 hours, at 72 years old!)

I just wish he'd cut it short and not be ashamed, because the current look is awful

The fact his son is already bald also makes people suspicious.

hehe well James isn't bald as such just very receded, and with a bad bad haircut that makes it worse

Paul's dad had receding hair and then lost a lot, but Paul's brother still has a natural thick head of hair at 70.

No one says Paul's isn't thin, but it's not a wig. He just chooses to have a ridiculous long cut that gets buffed up

And for the record - pic of James 2 years ago with short hair that look ok
http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/def...?itok=IbZvLEs7

and a few years before that
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/...10_468x662.jpg

and recent pic where he just makes himself look worse

and one of Paul's dad (also called James) while i'm at it

oh and see what i mean - this mess is not a wig, it's just horrible long flat hair, this is a live pic from the end of 2014! So why he buffs it up and uses spray to get it to sit on top of head like a birds nest for TV is beyond me, just cut it man!
http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/def...?itok=WPT9egPI

and some more long windswept hair from last year

If Tony Blackburn wears a wig it is a very good one. I saw him in a pub about 20 years ago, and was able to take a close look without actually brushing against his head. I thought it might be dyed hair rather than a syrup

It's not a wig. He is still bald at the back, so why would he wear a wig that only covers part of his head? Implants/laser treatment of course could be a possibility.

His hair does look incredibly full, but then again he looks a bit like Rick Parfitt, who is older than him and does have 100% have natural hair. So it could possibly still be his - maybe if he had let it go white it would look more natural.

Also, I think some guys look like they wear wigs because they have overly-wrinkly faces.

I think he looks more and more like Ken Dodd with each passing day.

Dr Brian May and Billy Connelly have both done just that.
It suits them.

some of the "synthetic hair" in this thread has been shocking. Keep up the good work syrup spotters.
