Ever thought he mightn't want it to look real. He knows you know he's bald anyway, so what's the point in spending £1,000 for a good wig, when a joke shop one purchased for a fiver will do.

Don't men realise that they look far more silly wearing a rug than they could ever look being bald. I saw a chap the other day who had the most obvious syrup, his hair was jet black on top , and looked very dry, yet at the sides he was greying and his hair was a bit greasy

Have you noticed that even those that don't wear wigs on TV appear to get darker hair as they age. Many resemble those iron filing faces we used to have as kids. 😸

Talking of iron filings. I remember Jon Craig, a former newspaper man who is now a political correspondent on Sky News, being really thin on top.

We have HD TV and I saw him last week and he had a full head of hair. Thick it was like a teenager's.

On close inspection he appears to be using a spray on toupee. Called GLH, or something. It does look like iron filings and it's supposed to stick to the remaining hair and make 'more' hairs.

Have a look at a video here:

I've heard about that stuff Gusto. Apparently quite a few celebs use it in interviews to disguise their bald patches. I think that's just indoors though where they may be caught be a dodgy camera angle. What happens if its used outdoors and it rains?

I've seen Jon outdoors. And apparently, according to the video, rain has no adverse effect.

Maybe it takes soap or shower gel to wash it off.

I'm beginning to wonder if Labour leader Ed Miliband is a candidate:

There is even speculation on BetNod, although no odds are being offered yet:

The hair is probably real, but the grey bit at the front looks like a tint.

Very similar indeed to Dickie Davis.

Watched House of Fools last night and although Bob Mortimer has no qualms about referencing his wig and it does suit him he now seems to be graying quickly at the back and sides and the wig colour no longer melds in.

Bob has had a large bald patch at the back for years. It's about the size of a tea plate.

Doesn't his brother have a grey patch in the same place?

Yeah like The Mallens. Both are tinted.

Well, after choking on my coffee, I'm not sure whether to be horrified at the $5 dollar nylon wig or the cosmetic surgery that has made him look like Ian Botham

There is a video of him talking about that.

Is anyone watching BBC Breakfast this morning? Christian Fraser is one of the main presenters today alongside Naga, surely that's a wig he's wearing?

Pete Shelley of The Buzzcocks had a terrible wig when the band first re-formed in the late 1980s. There was a live show filmed for TV, where from certain angles you could see the ridge where it ended. I felt sorry for him though as he must have been very sensitive about it.

There was a documentary on John Cooper Clarke, which showed him with very thin, short hair while he was working in the stores at a university in Manchester. Now he's back to his former 'glory', but the weird thing is that although it's a spectacular, alien creation, it's actually rather difficult to see how it's achieved with a hairpiece.

Of all the current ones, Tim Wannacott's wig is just ridiculous – although that does match the rest of him.
