What Are The Bookies Thinking Of?

Why is Nell still favourite to win the show? She's pulled away as quite a far out favourite and she has'nt said one damn interesting thing. Can someone win the show purely on looks

I think the bookies are way out on this and would put my personal favourite Tara along with Darren for as the two main contenders for 1st place. I would be especially glad if Tara grabbed the win as I got Tara on odds of 12\1 instead of her current 4\1 odds

So does anybody agree with the bookies and what are other peoples predictions?
(Good to see alot of the old Alex cew from the BB3 board backing Tara! )

Also why is Christine and outsider along with Uri?

Good points - but then, I was baffled when dim Craig won over Anna in BB1, so perhaps the bookies understand the people better than I do...

...I honestly think it'll be a travesty if one of the girls didn't win - they have provided at least 90% of all the comedy and drama moments to date!

It's pretty safe it won't be Tara - That's not the way ITV charity audiences think - You lost your money Outlaw......

Because that's the way the bets have come in! The bookies will probably have taken a view when opening the book but by now we should be starting to get a fairly accurate view of how the money is being placed.

Mind you if only a trickle has been plumped down then there will still be quite a lot of inertia in the odds. That would explain why there hasn't been more movement in say Christine's odds - which I would have expected to shorten quite a bit by now.

It's also worth noting that if the voting isn't very high then that increases the chances of our old friend the betting coup rearing it's ugly head.

Anna lost because of the Mel factor - a lot of people hated poor old Mel so much that anybody who got close to her was doomed!

Even then Craig only just scraped home - it was easily the closest finish to date (despite the disgraceful producer hype on the last night this year)!

She's unconfrontational - lying low. Maybe people think the more forceful personalities will go first.

Yea I agree she's not annoying enough to go early but to win it you normally need at least a bit of personality. As for the odds, the bookies has Nell and Nigel as favourites since the start. The only thing thats really changed is Nigel slipping back to 3rd.

Mesostim I would'nt right off Tara yet, she's been the star of the show so far so unless anything changes it looks like im on to a winner....

She's been reapeatedly shooting herself in the foot. The ITV audience is different to the channel 4 audience, they don't follow the "most entertaining" theory. Besides which - Tara hasn't been the star, the footage she's had over the last two nights has been fairly negative (she's beginning to look manipulative and whiny). One average poem and a fag doesn't make you the star of the show.
Didn't you bet heavily on Jade as well? She was the star of the show and came 4th........

I think Nell is coming across as the nicest of the bunch at the moment, and I'd want her to win!

Ok, she might not say much, but she's always cheerful, is nearly always the first to go and hug/talk to someone who's seriously distressed, and just seems to be getting on with it!

I liked her toast with the win - "to being nice"

Cannot disagree with you more there. As far as Im concerned Tara has been the most entertaining, genuine & fun loving contestant of the group. From the look of this board it would seem thats the general feeling on here too. Anyway each to there own

As far as Tara being manipulative go's, I dont buy that at all. From what I've seen she is just looking to enjoy her time in the jungle and if she has a problem with other contestants she lets them know about it.

P.S
And no I did'nt bet heavily on Jade, I was too pro Alex for that!

Nell is really quite likely to win because she will be backed by the newspapers who sell many copies from putting her on their cover! She is a professional celebrity, a woman famous for being, rather than doing.

I really like her - I've been pleasantly surprised by her lack of bitchiness and supportive nature, so I wouldn't mind if she won - far rather it was Christine, though.

Nicest of the bunch? Possibly, but only becuase I've not actually heard her utter a complete sentence yet! OK, I missed the first show, so she might have spoken then, and on tonight's show she jabbered a few random words to Rhona, and at times you even forget she's there!

Whether she's just shy, or playing the game of "if nobody sees me they won't think to vote for me", I don't know.
Although personally, I wish we'd se a bit more of her!
