Did you know....?
6.4 million viewers tuned into the first episode of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! on 25th August. That compares with 5.8 million for the first episode of Big Brother earlier this year.
------------------------------- The production team are prepared if any of the eight celebrities are finding life in the jungle too difficult. Keith Chegwin and Anna Walker are standing by as substitutes. ------------------------------- Uri was chosen by the viewers for the fourth bush tucker trial, the Jungle Feast. Uri's a vegetarian so will he eat the jungle delicacies? He said on the ITV2 show that he would not eat breakfast and would make sure he is hungry for the trial. Tony is also a vegetarian and said that if he had been chosen for the challenge he would not do it. "My principles are paramount," he said. ------------------------------- In the second week, viewers will be able to vote one celebrity off each day leaving the eventual winner. They will have to sleep one night on their own and then be crowned Queen or King of the Jungle. |

Originally posted by tamara Anna Walker would not be a good replacement - heck, this is what she does for a living. The show is watchable only to see people removed from their cosy environment and left to 'rough' it'. Having seen many of AW globe trekking programmes - this assignment would be a cushy little number. It would be like asking Darren Day to camp out in a theatre.

I think I saw her on "Big Strong Boys" the other day? General all-purpose presenter, reasonably entertaining, didn't take any c**p, blonde(ish) and, when I saw her, extremely pregnant so probably a repeat!
PS Actually I prefered Sarah Maltravers getting doe-eyed over Gav the following day. |

Anna Walker presents Big Strong Boys on BBC1 every morning a kind of rip off of changing rooms.
She reminds me of Anneka Rice smily blonde who loves herself but I believe she would find it a doddle as shes quite an outdoor pursuits kind of girl. However shes had a baby recently and it may have changed her. I dont think she would be much of a challenge. |

Originally posted by Dr Dave Anna seems to have done these DIY programmes around the time when she was starting her family. She's since had a baby boy. If you've watched her travel series though you will have seen her roughing it in real jungle, eating grubs and facing all the dangers connected to the reality of these terrains. So this cosy campfire scenario would not be challenging for her.I think I saw her on "Big Strong Boys" the other day? Predictably the BSB hurried botchup makeovers with little or no visible designer input are usually less disasterous than the Changing Rooms creations.
