From the streets
For those of you tempted to question Darren Day's statement on last night's show that he's 'from the streets', mock ye not. Darren is indeed from the mean streets of... Colchester. Which of course also explains his increasingly Cockney accent.

I *loved* Darren's suggestion that Tara empathises with the streets... which streets would those be, then? Bond Street? Sloane Street? Regent Street? Kensington High Street?

Trouble is, most of these so-called celebs are so deluded about themselves that the shame factor doesn't even come into it. I think DD genuinely sees himself as some kind of Cockney wideboy geezer. Don't generally agree with Rhona, but I think she was right yesterday when she pointed out that he was in fact more like Frank Spencer. Oh, and a ********. Truth hurts, eh, Daz?

Not sure about Nell, given that's she said bugger all so far! Don't agree with anything Christine stands for, but as you say, she's true to herself so credit due for that. Likewise Tony - I just want to give him a big hug! As for TPT - she comes across as so vulnerable that I can't bring myself to hate her - though describing DD as 'so f**ing sexy' suggests that all that drug abuse has addled both her mind and her eyesight.

Ok Nell hasn't said much but when she does speak it sounds like a normal person. The fact is because she sounds 'normal' does not make good TV and therefore unlikely to attract any coverage. I agree with you about Tony and Christine but DD and TPT think far too much of themselves and they really annoy me.

That explains it all then! I didn't realise he was from Colchester! What an absolute tosser that bloke is. I am amazed by his so obviously fake cockney accent. I'm no fan of Rhona, but I was with her all the way when she argued with him about Frank F......g Spencer with him. Anyway, what's Uri gonna do about eating the bugs, as he a veggie? |

Good question - didn't see the ITV2 live coverage last night, but according to another thread on here, Uri was prepared to go for it before fellow veggie Tony took him to task a bit for going against his principles. So it'll be interesting to see the upshot of that tonight, but I hope he doesn't cops out. The creep deserves all he gets!

I bet Uri will "get out" of this challenge for spiritual reasons, one way or another. On one hand I wouldn't expect a veggie to eat as such, but because it's Uri and he's such an egotistical creep I want it to happen! (although I must admit I feel pity for what is being eaten, it doesn't seem right). |
