as good as BB?
I must say im enjoying celeb survivor immensly, much more than I though I would. Its still not quite as good as BB, but still rivetting viewing.
question for you all. imagine these celebs were unknown and were In BB. do you think people would have had different reactions, or is their 'celeb' status meaningless in situations like this?. Would URI be like Jonny?. Rhona like Alex?, Tara like Jade? |

Yes.....I was a bit unfair on Uri there
![]() I am waiting for Uri to get drunk and try to pull Nells pants off though. ![]() My Alex Rhona comparison was because they both moaned about cleanliness and they both seem to moan about things a lot .

I never watched BB for the same reasons I hate TPT.
Simply put, why turn on the TV to watch Everyday people do everyday things? I never understood it. I hadn't the patience or interest in those minions to build a following upon. Now this show, these people all have something to prove to me, namely that they deserve to be celebrities. Some of them have already passed with flying colours, albeit for the wrong reasons. TPT sadly, deserves to be a celebrity. She is a case study in how being famous effects a nobody thrown into the starlight/limelight whatever it is. I predict she will be popular for a while until the country realises she is a nothing then discard her (Again). Uri still needs to prove himself, tonight will be sink or swim for him. If he does the task I will give him the deserved Kudos, even though I detest him. Darren Day and Nigel, not exactly famous for their intellect continue to prove amusement through their inability to handle criticism/differences of opinion. Typical Celebs. Christine, and Tony, are shining examples of Moral courage. Telling Nigel Benn to shut up twice in 20seconds is a brave thing, Tony giving Uri grief for dismissing his vegetarian beliefs is also worthy of respect for faith in his beliefs. And Poor Nell. What can I say? She comes across as sweet as sugar. I think she is looking for a spot on Daytime TV. All the contestants here rely on their image to keep them famous, which separates them from the BB nothings that invaded our screens for a while then went back in their own box. That is what makes this show better, because their actions now will dictate their celbrity status immensely. |

It's reported that she's fled in tears from screenings in total disbelief at his suggestive behaviour. |

Originally posted by metafis Yep, agree with you there. Its still not quite as good as BB, but still rivetting viewing. Going by the ITV2 coverage though I couldn't watch it 24 hours a day. I'm happy with the 1 hour per evening and the snippets I get from in here. Re. your question. I think the 'celeb' title makes it slightly more interesting but at the bottom of it all is the fact that they are 8 individuals and like in the BB house there are those they will like and those they don't like... BUT they knew what they were letting themselves in for. |

As for the rest of you who watched BB. That's your business. It didn't do much for me, but I guess it kept the Sun newspaper in print so it can't be such a bad thing

BB is good - Celeb survivor is good......They are different. That's good as well.
BB is a casting video for wannabes. Celeb Survivor is the celebs trying to convince us how normal they are. Most of them clearly are not. That's why we have "the milk question", it's to show how out of touch they are........... |

the celebs have a lot to lose on this show. If they really do come across badly, it ain't gonna do their reputations and careers much good is it? Rhonna for one. Uri was already very low in my estimation - now I cannot abide the horrible man. Didn't know Nigel Benn, but now I know that I don't like him either. Tara has gone up a bit, Darren down a lot, Tony hovering, Christine has not disappointed. Who's the model? |
