joolz, I think she said that at the end of a long list of other things - it certainly did not seem to be the first thing that came to her mind.

Yes, we did. Although, given how unpleasantly she's behaved, I have no inclination to give her the benefit of the doubt. I imagine that she almost certainly said that for the benefit of the cameras.

And did we not also notice that she waited until she knew everyone was around and the TV cameras on her to wait to say it?
Coincidence? Only the bizarre inner warpings of your own minds can tell you...

Well of course she said it with the cameras around but how do you know she hadn't already gathered everyone together earlier and said it off-camera?
I don't trust ITV - they're only showing us what they want us to see - the stuff that'll up their ratings.

So she must also have behaved "unpleasantly" and had arguments for the cameras - They were conveniently there then as well. That's a dubious argument..........

Not at all dubious. She may well have done so. Any attention is better than none for someone like Rhona.

Tara only acts cute when there are cameras around as well then? Or is it only people who are disliked who do that?

She quite possibly does to, never said otherwise.

But really, we can only fairly go on the basis of what we see, no? Is it like big brother, or is it there a director shout "cut!"? I'm guessing it's more like the former, and that it is impossible for people to act 24/7, even if that is their intention.

Now did anyone notice at the end of last night show, that it seems that Nigel has found that Christine might have been stirring it and said somethings to Rhona, probably the homosexual issue, that he isn't happy about, and he's not being sheepish about either, he's more than willing to have it out with Christine publicly, maybe cos' he hasn't got anything to hide?

Now the interesting thing will be if people will see this as aggression, or just being straightfoward and direct? Big people are allowed to get angry if they feel strongly about something too you know!

I can't believe Darrens been picked twice in a row just for speaking his mind. Rhona's going to be walking round like lord of the camp thinking the public on her side and the scary thing is she might be right! People don't make the same mistake twice, make sure Rohna go's Monday!

Maybe public sympathy wil back the bullied underdog. The danger is for Tara fans is that he'll drag her down with him. Do the ITV audience find her pathetic rather than goddesslike?

Stop those stupid bullied comments. We all know Rhona's violent past and she's just showing her true colours in the camp but unfourtately for some people arent standing for it. All she has to do is throw round a few homophoic & bullied comments and the public swallow the lot. Come on people make your own mind up!

Yep!!! it is very scary, that all you need to do, is, cause trouble, go way over the line, then shout poor me, and you get rewarded for it.

Where as Darren, who despite his happy go lucky public persona has had to face his own set of demons, but doesn't shout "poor me", "what about me?", "Oh is it pick on Darren Day Day today then is it?", that ends up in the dock.

Me? Nothing. I was just suggesting maybe her whiney voice is a turn off for the nation - That and her dependancy on Darren......If she were a stronger woman who stood on her own feet I'd respect her more.....

Actually, that's partly why I liked her last night. She refused to let Darren tell her what to think & do, and stood up for what she wanted - ie a calmer camp. I think she acted surprisingly maturely, considering.

But when Rhona was trying to ease things over she absolutley went off on one for no reason. She didn't have to tell Rhona how much she didn't like her. That didn't really help did it?
lucicle
01-09-2002
No, I agree, it probably didn't help. But I think she was understandably over-wrought & had simply had enough. Plus, she did (I think) say something fairly sensible along the lines of 'I don't like you, but that doesn't mean we can't all get along while we're here.' And I don't really think Rhona was trying to ease the situation. What makes you think that? As I saw it, Rhona was needling away, when perhaps it would have been wiser for all concerned to simply leave it.

Ah well - After several night argument - It seems that people only see what they want to see. I'm no doubt guilty as well but it really does seem everyone see something diferently and fits it around how they want to percieve the celebs....

I think it's fascinating, actually, to see how someone can perceive the same events in such a different way. It had certainly never occurred to me that Rhona was trying to smooth things over!

No, she was trying to smooth it over with a nice big baseball bat

Here's a novel thought to try and agree on, would anyone say taht despite there methods, Rhona likes to be able to have control over her surroundings as much as Nigel does?
lucicle

I think she's a total control freak, ryan!
