I like Christopher Eccleston best - but I still like David Tennant.

I personally feel David Tennant is better than Christopher Eccleston because David has perfect charms & more motivate to be The Doctor as he himself (in real life) loves & admires Doctor Who series.. he watched it entire his life so that makes big difference & he seem so happy & is really into Doctor Who, that makes him perfect actor as The Doctor.. I hope David Tennant beats Tom Baker's 7 years mark... let's see in order to pass 7 years mark means 2005-2012 or longer.. (crosses my fingers) hoping David Tennant stays 7 more seasons to make it 10 years mark...

I only wish the "Time War" scenario had never been mentioned in season one, but first mentioned by David within season two. I feel that Eccleston still owns the whole "Time War" storyline, and has in fact lost alittle of its impact now that Tennant has carried it on. Afterall it was Eccleston's Doctor that fought the battle ... or was it ?? Could the battle have caused the regeneration of the 8th Doctor?

Christopher Eccleston for me. I like both, but prefer CE for his superior acting skills and the edgy, serious, darker side he brought to the role of the doctor, he played emotion with such intensity that I could cry for him. He gave a subtle humour to the doctor as well which I appreciated.

DT is more attractive on a physical level, but the buffoonery annoys me, I find myself rolling my eyes and feeling disappointed which never happened with CE.

I first ep I watched of Doctor Who was when Rose and the Doctor were in the church and it was her parents wedding - it was so sad. Now I love David Tennant - he's just so funny, gorgeous and vunerable
