The evidence of Nigel's homophobia was apparent in tonight's episode when he and Darren had their bizarre conversation in the woods regarding their opinion that Rhona "acts like a man in bed." ”

Surely if Nigel is homophobic, that's entirely his own problem? As far as I can see, he's not insulted or derided Rhona for this, and in a free world surely he is allowed to feel how he feels about whoever he wants? So long as he doesn't persecute her for this (which there's no evidence for), there is no real problem?

Surely a far worse crime is openly, publically, to someone's face, accusing someone of being a homophobic wa**er?

Rhona an immense and evil bully?! Yeah - shame on her for terrorising the ex professional boxer and da boi from da streets! I feel sorry for poor Darren and Nigel - they must sleep easier tonight knowing that Rhona won't be there to terrorise them in the camp...

"Only words" - that really rubs me up the wrong way. IMHO cruel workds and verbal abuse are worse than the odd punch and kick - of which Nigel has done, and not even hinted at, such a thing.

Rhona on the other hand is coming across as an immense and evil bully, the kind that drives kids by the droves each year to suicide in schools, and causes untold psychological damage.
But hey, if you think that a broken bone that heals after a few weeks is wose than emotinal trauma that sticks with you for the rest of you life - so be it.
”

And the threats of violence are also "only words" and are also verbal violence that causes kids to commit suicide. So you must hate Nigel and Darren as well Mr)Ray - They are being verbal bullies as well.............Kids kill themselves when gangs of kids threaten to beat them up as wel as call them nasty names. Rhona has called nigel what agan? Her verbal bullying was done in what way? Nigel had to sleep away form camp becuase he was scared of her verbal bullying did he?
That really rubs me up the wrong way - She was verbally bullied by two of them - The kind that drives kids by the droves each year to suicide - AND YOU'RE SUPPORTING THEM FOR IT!

You just don't get it do you? I've seen the results of constant verbal bullying in the workplace, it isn't funny.

Firstly, I'm not really supporting them, I think they're behaving like idiots too, but they're just so much outshone by Rhona.

And as for the sugggestion of her being the one being bullied, surely if that was true, when Nigel said let's just drop it and not talk to each other - she would have agreed instead of attacking him even more viciously and going on and on and on? Just an observation?

And yet it was Rhona who left in tears to spend a night on her own. A result of constant verbal bullying in the workplace I'd say...

P.S - I'm a union shop steward - I'm well aware of abusive activities........

It's quite obvious that Rhona's bullying and intimidation techniques are well practiced. She seems to have gone for the intellectually weaker members of the group first.

In all her very regular confrontations she twists and turns every word, deliberately evading the point, leaving the opponent speechless, angry and looking stupid.

Being more articulate doesn't make her right, but it makes her feel as though she is, because she never loses an argument.

As she no doubt wants everyone to believe. Anyone spot a blatant bid for sympathy?

The truth of the matter though, is that she crapped about all over the place so much that she now can't stand the smell of her own excrement, and now blames everyone else for her mess, probably even in her own mind she believe her own hype.

Bravo!
Although IMO she's not as intelligent as everyone seems to think, she's just devious and dangerous. An intelligent person would have bitten her tongue a long long time ago.

In a similar way that Nigel only threatens woman - And ones he's sure of being backed up against. She was the one to leave camp afraid and in tears - Which was the succesful bullying technique oh wise one?

Saying Nigel only threatens a woman is misleading and unfair.
1) Rhona's the only one there acting up and abusing him anyway, why "threaten" someone who doesn't do this?
2) He made no threat only a comment that was intendied to reflect what an annoying evil b!tch she was. Rhona then followed up on this with an actual threat.

And she left camp afraid and in tears? You must be joking. Scheming as she is, if she thought there was the slightest chance of Nigel hitting her she'd be there waiting for it to be caught on tape and make a fortune over it in the courts.
Instead, this was purely a blatant, transparent bid for sympathy.

Nope, she was the one who wanted to continue, she was the one who said 'stuff it' and walked off (several times apparently as she came back at dinner time but then went again because Nigel was doing the cooking) and the tears were a pathetic ploy.

Othe rclebs picked up on the threat of violence though didn't they - It has been mentioned - They worried whether or not he'd snap.
But I sense your bias in this matter Mr_Ray so I'll leave you to your hate of Rhona......

Why indeed. You obviously didn't see yesterdays show then when he threatened to 'chin' Hamilton, all because she had the temerity to ask him to be quiet while she was reading something to the group.

How come Rhona can have her "humour" misinterpreted (RE: angry cook), but Nigel can't? I'd have to sincerly doubt that he was even 1/10000th serious about that! Rhona however was bitchy and saw the old "I'm a funny person, I was joking" excuse and grabbed it!

BTW, Arguments are so fun, even if it's over something as trivial as a load of pumped up self righteous plonkers and plonkettes on a shoddy ITV survivor show

The group are expecting rhona to be voted out and clearly she is too. If that happens it will make the show very predictable.

My suggestion is that we collectively vote multiple times to throw out Nigel Benn and watch his face when they announce that. He wont be expecting it and we will see a change in rhona who will feel more confident. It will make for much better tele.

If the group wants to put someone else up I am game, i just dont want to see rhona go first as the group expect that.

Your thoughts?

I'll second that. Nigel macho dominance is as much a cause of grief as Rhona's negative reaction to it. And he really deserves to be thrown out first as well..........

I see what your saying but on this occasion it was most definitely not Benn's attempt at a joke. She asked him to be quiet twice, at which point he walked away seething and then angrily shouted that chinning comment.

Absolutely. Didn't think I'd enjoy the show at first but it's compelling viewing to be sure.

I agree that I'd like to see Mr Benn go first, not Rhona. And see how the atmosphere and dynamics change. I'd even like Uri and Darren to go before Rhona IF she manages to button it for a bit... she does provide some better entertainment I'd admit - we may even get to like her a little more? But she has managed to upset everybody hasn't she? Do we want the bad atmosphere to go on into another full week?
