Id like to buy a WAP phone to get free WAP, is there any network that can give free WAP on a PAYG type of plan?

I know Genie did free WAP when I had a phone from them a year or so ago, but im not sure if they do anymore, as they’ve been taken over by O2 I think.

Genie were always part of Cellnet anyway. They just decided to rebrand all their products O2. They still have a PAYG tariff with 300 minutes free WAP. Have a look here and click 'get info' under 'online tarffs'.

yeah, just to confirm those O2 guys are phoning me (I'm on Orange) every 6 weeks or so, to try and get me to swap over.

I probably will, when my current contract expires, as they do offer many free SMS and free cWAP minutes, more importantly for me, free minutes to be used cross networks.......

I still use the original tariff for genie, now o2. I get

600 sms messages a month
free wap
1500 off peak calls free per month 1p per min after that

probably crap using it in peak hours which i rarely do.

Try and get anywhere near that. Don't bother, you can't.

Get 300 free texts and unlimited free WAP. It's supposed to be just 300 minutes a month free WAP, but if you change the dial-up number to 915000 you won't get charged at all! But I hardly ever use it, 'tis naff.
