Ah -As we know she met him five years ago at a party and this is the first time they've seen each other since

Mesostim, perhaps you could explain this rather bizarre post?

Not her relationship with Darren particularly, as you know full well! She is a lot more sensitive to people's moods than Uri & does at least spout entertaining drivel, rather than arsey drivel IMO...

Certainly - I said Tara's relationship with Darren proved she wasn't very down to earth.

You said "Or could it just be she knows more about Darren than we do" (roll eyes)

To which I relplied that the had met at a party 5 years ago and hadn't met since - As if to say - no she doesn't know him much better than us and yet has become very dependant on him.............

Although - I could have misinterpreted your post because of the rolled eyes

Cross-purposes - wrong end of sticks.

I was talking about Darren's relationship with his girlfriend - ie she knows more about Darren than we do from watching him for a week on a tv show and she seems very nice and sensible.

Least Grounded ---> Most Grounded

Uri (Sitting on a rock sending his love to wacko Jacko ? ! And his highly personal questions at only an infantile stage of friendship)
Tara (Has clearly led a highly privilidged existence)
Nigel (Violent, biggoted and the audacity to vent his personal prejudices as "religious beliefs")
Darren ("Look at me - I'm a lad again". His whole life *has* been dictated by others - but you can't suddenly snap your fingers and be that other person again. Don't buy it.)
Rhona (A little too self-enveloped. And quite vicious when prompted.)
Tony ("Answer your random mobile phone you somehow snuck into the australian outback even though it's against the rules? Erm... Okay!" Hmmm...)

Finally, between...

Christine (Very motherly, tender, good at diffusing hostile situations. And knows the price of milk )

Nell (Quiet, natural. Unfortunately, rows and eruptions have diverted any attention away from her.)

Dunno Cybele, never had that problem. Have to stand on a ladder to keep the ol' fella dry I do.
