I doubt she'll be doing anything new... she's doing a garden/home makeover show on TV these days (forget which one), and ads for Holland & Barrett (natural medicine store).
Shame because I liked her music when originally released

I really like Kim Wilde - she's got a great voice. I'd love it if she did release some new material - even if it was only a "cover" album. owever, as ceejones says, she's busy doing other projects (mainly gardening related) now so it seems highly unlikely.

Okay,

...'cause you don't really love me, you just keep me hanging on, set me free why don't you babe, get out my life why don't you babe, 'cause you don't really need me, but you keep me hanging on...

That song is classic Kim Wilde - I love it!

She did a duet with Nena that was released in Germany a few years back. Not sure if she's done anything since.

Yes - I remember that - it was called Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime and for anybody who'd like to hear it, you can do so here. I wish they'd released it over here, but with Nena singing half of it in German, I doubt it would've done very well.

She lives not for from me and is very involved in the village community. A couple of yrs ago she sang at a village charity thing and was fantastic but she is really into gardening now.

Her dad was compere on the night and sad to say he was very worse for wear and slurred his words

I thknk the duet wiuth Nena actuallky reached #1 in Germany whci was quite a shock as they both had been out of the spotlight for quite some time (Ithink...)

Would love to see Kim do Eurovision.
2007???

i sincerely hope NOT

that's a surefire way to ruin any good memories you have of an artist, when you see them desperately trying to revive a career doing Eurovision

'Hi Im Kim Wild!'
Ha having to remind everyone who you are is so not good.

She certainly has fallen from grace in them Holland and Barrett ads, she looks too ordinary and bland now.

I wouldn't exactly say she's fallen from grace, doing a telly ad isn't desperate infact quite the opposite, it's really good publicity,

That song with Nena is really good, now would that be Nena of the 99 red balloons fame?

I liked her stuff. My favorites were "You Keep Me Hanging On," "Hey Mister Heartache," and "Lovers On A Beach". To bad she hasn't done much musically recently.

I agree - the commercials are good publicity - not to mention a good source of income! As for Nena, yes - it's one and the same!

I'm a big fan. Was lucky enough to meet her in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, while working on a local newspaper. She dropped by at a music store to promote If I Can't Have You.

She was the undoubted star of all of the recent Here and Now tours and deserved to be top billing.

Last I heard was that You Came had been sampled by Groovenut(??) and was being released as a single but that seems to have got shelved. Unless I missed it!!

I'm another fan of hers and like nearly all her material. A couple of favorites are 'Take Me Tonight' and 'Four Letter Word'. She tried various music styles from pop and rock thru to ballads and duets. Great music and great artist. Have to admit that Kim was an idol of mine during the 1980s and I still listen to her music today.

A few of her lyrics can be found here

Kim is writing and recording an album now according to KimWilde.com, which I think is supposed to be out later this year. As far as I know it will be original material and not a covers album. The real question is whether the album will get a UK release, rather than just Germany!

I was too young to remember her first time around in the 80s but in hindsight I have to say she was one of the better artists of the time and certainly one of the best female artists of the time.

I love some of her videos too.

Another Kim fan. My favs are most of the single releases from Another Step and Close. Waiting patiently for a remix collection from Amazon which I hope will add something to the 12" tracks from those two albums (cassettes!).
