What's Happened to Channel 5?

The frustration of set up continues.....

My toppy cannot find Channel 5 during searches this despite my previous Philips DTR1500 and current Hitachi Freeview TV finding and storing without a problem.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried a manual scan of the Channel 5 Mux to see if that picks it up?

Where is the Toppy in your Aerial 'chain'? If it isn't the first box in the chain then try changing things round so it is.

Hi,

Aerial is first in chain. Can you tell me which channel to search under when carrying out a manual scan?

Big frustration!!! Is the Toppy renowned for being a 'good' box for reception? Never been a problen for previous 'cheap' STB's that i have had in the past.

Channel 5 shares the same mux with others, such as QVC & ABC1. If you get those, it's not a reception problem.

Go to http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe? , enter your postcode and you'll get a list of the channel numbers for each of the transmitters in your area. The channel number is in the columns labelled UHF
