We kind of forgot about Uri, what with all the fighting going on, but since we established a week ago that pretty much everyone thinks he's a creepy perv, it's not that surprising that he didn't attract a huge fan base.

If only he could keep his hands to himself, though... and his thoughts. That conversation about "lust and passion"with Nigel was hilarious. Uri seems to have some kind of brain short circuit which prevents him from being able to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate questions/statements of a sexual nature when appearing on national television.

I don't think Darren would have taken it nearly so well - if he goes tomorrow, he'll probably throw a big hissy fit and say it's all Tara's fault..

Not necessarily : Uri has attracted a lot of unfavourable comment on this forum, although it got completely overshadowed by the Rhona debacle.

Also, the vote reflects who is liked the least, not who is disliked the most - by which I mean some of the controversial characters attract big pro as well as anti votes. Uri just didn't rate high enough on the positive scale

I have to say Uri was originally my number 2 to go after Nigel just because I think he is an absurd paranormal fraud, but since then he has been pervy but not especially agumentative or offensive - maybe if he had been then the public would have voted him to stay just for the entertainment factor. Oh my god... will this mean that Nigel and Darren could come in last two if they keep fighting? (nearly faints... recalls Kate and Jonny travesty.... )

wow zzenzero I actually agree with you on a few points here!

mainly on the voter - it's a very good point you make that voters are probably in the younger age group, and clearly they are not likely to be that bothered about an older man who is not a popular entertainer, and so as you say, will we see Christine go sooner than possibly most of us might have expected? Will macho men Darren and Nigel stay longer than expected? It does beg the question whether this sort of celeb show could ever be fair from a voter viewpoint, so I now look at the voting pattern with new interest, even with a more jaundiced eye than yesterday certainly. Worrying.

Having Ant and Dec as hosts has also added a young slant to the show, and ITV know from whom they can squeeze most dosh. I assume their next stop is the new pop idol show.

I think Nell and Tony (and perhaps Christine, although she has more tv value because she's been stirring it up) are the good guys, and Rhona, Tara, Nigel and Darren have been causing all the conflict, which again is good tv.

Uri seems to fall between these two groups as a kind of neutral, so ended up getting voted out first.

Uri going is terrible, like him or not he was the catalyst for a lot of the best bits.

Maybe zzenzero 's point is right that the older poeple get voted out first - I'm convinced that a lot of people at home were confused about the system and thought they were still voting for people to go out.

How anyone would vote for Nell to stay in is beyond me.
