Darren surpassed himself with sheer, utter horribleness this evening.

Strange how he didn't discuss the "notes" from Tara with anyone until after

a) she stopped being nice to him, because she couldn't stand the smell

b) he thought he was voted for the second task because he'd been flirting with Tara.

so in a last ditch attempt to save himself from eviction he "whispers" that Tara's been sending him love notes, but that she's got as much chance of sh*gging virtuous , faithful Darren, as the Pope.

Yeah, right.

Even if Tara did send him notes, who cares? And what could possibly be worse than announcing it on television, to make yourself look good, and her like a sex-crazed slapper who won't take no for an answer.

Loathsome, loathsome little creep.

I think that if she did send him notes, she's a very silly girl, and will have done herself no favours.

But, yes, he is a loathsome, vile little creep, & I wish I could vote for him to leave next.

Yep, I really feel sorry for Tara despite her rather desperate behavior, she is going to be mortified and furious when she finds out Darren has blabbed, and rightly so...

I agree on both counts......

Poor Tara.

I know she shouldn't send him notes and stuff - but lets be honest, she isn't as stupid as she acts, and probably wouldn't have sent them if he hadn't given her plenty of encouragement.

However squalid it may all be though, I imagine they'll probably be on the cover of OK! talking about their love for each other in a month or two...

Having thought about this, a possible take on this is that they're both schemingly devious, and this is a combined effort to ensure that they both stay around for longer? Apparently we're supposed to keep them around so we can get to the truth of it in later episodes? Or just so they can be in loads of magazines about it later?

What's a guy to think?

Hehe, you're probably right there pony! And yep, he has given her PLENTY of encouragement. They,ve been flirting outrageously all week and I for one thought Darren would have leapt at the chance, it's blatently obvious he wants her! Although now he'll probably say he's given her no cause to believe there was ever anything there, and make her feel two inches tall. It's going to be a nasty shock for poor Tara...

Yes, he has been just as flirty as she has, and after all, she is single, and entitled to fancy anyone she chooses, whereas he proclaims his luurve for his gf at any opportunity. But what an amazingly silly thing to do, Tara, you silly, silly girl!

Did anyone see, when he was talking to Christine, whether he actually showed her one of the notes? I wasn't quite sure if she was repeating what he had told her, or what she had read.

Wow Cybele/Uri you must have fasttracked my mind, just said the same thing on another thread. Spooky or what? Can you bend spoons to?

I'm sure I saw Nigel reading one of the 'alledged' notes.

Maybe it was from Tony instead, and poor Darren was just too ashamed to admit it, so blamed Tara instead?

The mystery deepens

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but where the hell is Tara getting the paper to write these notes in the first place?

Yes, I definitely saw a note in someone's hand, can't remember who now, but of course it wasn't long or close enough to read any of it. I don't think Darren's making it up, far worse, he's spreading it round the camp and making Tara a laughing stock.

Very good point, Mossop.

Christine's the one who sits around writing in a journal every day. Perhaps she is also the one who wants to sh*g Darren senseless?

No, I'm just omniscient and omnipresent - isn't that enough for you? Some men are just never satisfied....

ps don't call me Uri - if you value your goolies, that is..

Agreed.
Are there are 'real' men left who know how to treat a woman????

Darren is an utter pillock who hasn't a clue.
Uri is 'suspiciously' over-interested.
Any woman would have to look after Tony
Nigel is overbearing and dominant.

I guess I've just been spoiled.

Wouldn't that be hilarious? Tara was only passing the notes on for Christine.

There seems to be many weird facets to Tara - she proclaims to be anyones best friend, loyal and supportive, but expects Darren to cheat on his girlfriend? And when he effectively says "NO" she now invents how much she loathes him beacuse he farts and the smell in lingering up her nose.... hell hath no wrath business?

what is she about?
”

If I were spending a lot of time in a bloke's company and he kept making vile smells......it's a HELL of a passion killer.

He admitted that he does it all the time - I think "I'm a big farter" was his exact expression - and he is way too dense to realise that some people may find this , as the late lamented alex would putit, DISGUSTING.

He's got the whole damn jungle to do it in, why does he have to do it up close and personal with Tara?

I find it completely credible that it's put her right off him - it would have exactly the same effect on me.

And if she is "a woman scorned"- how come the cameras didn't pick up Darren scorning her - theyt seem to have picked up all their other "private" conversations
