I love the Mitchells and am watching the current storyline unfold. However I spotted an error. Grant spoke to his wife on his Motorola yet when he recieved a text the beep beep was clearly a Nokia tone.....

Am I just being sad or is this post relevant?

I'm not over reacting. Why would Grant download a Nokia message alert for a Motorola phone? Whislt on the subject why is it that hardly anyone as a ringtone other than a normal phone ring?

Because a phone is a phone, and not a musical jukebox?

Why wouldn't he??
Maybe someone he worked with had the same Motorola, and so he put his old Nokia phone 'noises' on it....
Saves all that 'is that my phone or yours?'

This happens because the beep beep (or in the case of my phone, knock knock) are added to the the sound mix in post production as a sound effect.

There are thousands of CDs available containing every conceivable sound effect you could think of. In this instance, either the producer was not pedantic enough to locate the CD track that matched the phone model being used, or felt that the nokia beep beep is universally recognised as a generic text message received sound.

I'm glad this post is receiving a few responses. I know it's only a trivial matter but it bugged me slightly. Also he had only been back for five minutes so do you think he got his lovely new silver razor in Rio or did he nip round to Walfords Car Phone Warehouse before heading of to Essex?

Isn't it easier to answer someone properly, rather than be ignorant or rude about it?!

I'd describe it as a promoted week which leads to the mitchell brothers bringing down johnny allen after phil directed grant there earlier this week. check the catchup clips on EEs site for more info.

In soaps and these drama's etc when you see them getting a text, the real phone doesn't actually make a noise, it's on silent. the tones are then put in afterwards, just like music is

I bought my first mobile phone in late 1997. I didn't think about going to the Carphone Warehouse until six months ago as I thought (wrongly) that they only sold phones to be fitted in cars.

I didn't buy a phone from them as I got a very good deal online from 3. Is it just me that took the name Carphone Warehouse so literally? (The answer will be a resounding yes but Poundland sells everything for a pound...)
