Yes, It's been hilarious how Darren has blatantly been taking the chance to sing a few songs to try and audition on TV for future shows or to try and publicize some "Songs from the Shows " album which will surely follow.
My wife came to see what was wrong because she heard me shouting "The voices ... make them stop ... lalalalalal!!" at the top of my voice.
Apparently I looked quite funny curled up in a foetal position on the settee screaming "Make him stop!" with my head under a cushion.

That moment when he was singing was the only time I channel hopped during the entire show....I really couldnt stand it.
I just saw him beat his chest in pride about writing two and half songs in a session.

i agree, both of his songs were laughably bad, i have no musical talent at all yet im sure i could have done better than that lol
also the way he has been sucking up to just about everyone, making himself look as good as possible on camera really is cringe worthy and as far as im concerned actually make him look like more of a prat than before, i didnt really like nigel that much but at least he was completly honest and not trying to make himself look better on camera

Yep. He just used chord notes, rather than proper scales . its easy to wrote a tune using just chord notes as a melody. A true melody uses proper scales and harmonic notes. eg 'all my loving' , a great example of using scales and harmonics for a memorable melody.
