So What's So Good About March
Kevo

It seems T2 Ultimate Edition, The Abyss, Brave Heart and probably a few others have all been put back until March of next year.

Anybody know why?

anyone know when the special edition of The Terminator (any region) is coming out? - i heard a while back that it was gonna get a simultaneous r1/r2 release, but i doubt it

As far as I am aware it already out on R1 (£17.99 from play247.com) As for R2 the release date seems to change every day!!

T2 is already out and has been for a while in R1, the R2 version has been delayed because of production problems i hear. (Don't worry, it's worth the wait!!)
T1 has been delayed yet again. It was supposed to come out by the end of this year but it seems it will be out on R1 in Q1 2001, don't know about R2 though

i got T2: UE a couple of months ago (fantastic dvd!) - they had a few problems with that as well - more of a manufacturing problem though, as they were producing DVD-18 discs

i think that they actually started producing a two-disc version instead in order to maintain levels of supply (when i actually ordered i was told i would get the 2-disc version, but i actually received the double-sided one instead)

what are the chances of the metal case being produced for r2 as well? (although a few people don't like it for some reason)

there's some quite good info about the production of the disc at - http://www.dvdreview.com/html/termin...the_past.shtml

Well, that's just it, T2 was wrapped in a bit of metal. I expected a metal case not a flat piece of metal bent in two places to cover the plastic box. All in all the DVD is fantastic though and although the cover could've been made better at least they made an effort with a limited edition cover. The DVD-18 is great!! Encore!!

i guess that is why i liked it more than most - i didn't expect to get it as i thought that it was only provided with a limited number, but in the end they got a good deal with the manufacturer of the metal case and so provided it with every copy

i had also seen the case beforehand and knew what to expect, so i wasn't that disappointed - better than nothing (again - others would disagree, but if you really don't like it you could always throw it away!!) - and, as you said - nice they made an effort

I think they should have done something with Gladiator as well (perhaps a sword shaped metal case ) More limited edition cases would be appreciated and more DTS soundtracks would be adored. (We should start a we want two disc special edition DTS disc campaign!!)

i caught a little bit of an advert for the buffy boxset earlier and thought i heard something about a crucifix box or something?!
