Has anyone ever had the unit switch itself off completely. This has happened twice in the past week. All came back to normal when I unplugged and plugged in again?

Any ideas anyone?

Strangly enough, this happened to me this morning. Came down to a dead box. Recycled the power and it came back to life.
Happened 3 times in total now

It happened to me for the first time this morning.
I thought I might have knocked the plug.
Could it possibly be something to do with the long awaited software update.
More likely a Thomson April fool trick.

This is strange.....it has happened again but this time to my other machine which I have had for over 18 months. Again it needed the plug pulled out and a reboot. What is going on???

Mine has done it twice fairly recently - can't remember which days...

All OK with a re-boot...

It happened to one of mine yesterday for the first time in a while. The temperature went up to 40 degrees C before returning to low 30's now. My other machine was OK.

To get this info key in 2846 whilst in the Technical Information / Technical Help menu.

It would seem that the fan also switches off tus the temperature goes up. Power down and up and wait for the light to be red worked to return to normal. No recordings were lost but one failed. This was a weekly recording which was an hour out last Monday following the clock changing, so was this somehow a consequence of the clocks changing?
