DVD/Home Cinema
Hello people.
Hope you can me help me out. Im sure you will. I posted a while back as I fancy a home cinema system for my bedroom. Now Ive decided I want a new DVD player (for DivX capability) so I thought id buy both in one (Speakers +DVD). Anyone got any tips? The Sony DAV-DZ100 looks good for £150 or the Philips HTS3300/05 for a bit less. I dont want to pay too much as my bedroom is quite small with an old TV. Im also not sure about where i'll fit the rear speakers. Help with any of this would be appreciated. Thanks. |

You can rent home cinema systems with options to upgrade. visit www.rentaldeals.co.uk for more info. It's a good way to keep upto date products

I just got the Philips HTS3300 from Argos for £130, very impressed with it, real quality sound, DivX, DTS, everything! My last one was a cheap all-in-one box and I wasn't too happy with it, the bass only came on when it felt like it, but this one's excellent. I almost bought a Goodmans DVD-recorder one from ebuyer, but changed my mind as this one has DTS and DivX (though no DVD recorder).
As for speaker set up, I have my monitor/TV (well, monitor, with a VGA box to input DVD player to) on my desk in the middle of the room, centre speaker on a nail above it, left and right speakers on the corners of the desk, then the rear speakers behind me (obviously!), nailed to the wall under the window. Just try to make sure they're at ear-height when you're sat. |
