you would have thought all the money big brother has made that they would put the prize money a bit higher at least half a million. when you spend 60 odd days with the tossers in the house and do it on national t.v LIVE you would expect some life changing money.

maybe I'm in the wrong line of work, because £70,000 would change my life.....

9 weeks for £70,000 or 7 years of work for £70,000,

Yeah but you won't be able to do a normal job ever again and you will be chasing round crap z-list type jobs opening supermarkets etc.

But pretty much a year later people will forget you if you want them to. Does anyone know/care where half of last years contestants are. There are some people who don't watch as well so you can get some kind of job.

And you can move to another country where nobody would have a clue who you were, and you'd be £70,000 better off

Part of the fun is that they end up poor again - Set 'em up to knock 'em down.......

The bigger the Prize money, the more "ordinary" people will enter, and of course, the contest will become more vicious.

If the Winner were to just become a recluse, the Media would venomously accuse them of being "snooty" "elitist" and "aloof", and they would thus be hated by the public.

Also, for all the criticism of "wannabes", many on these forums would feel disapointed and baffled if a BB Contestant didn't seize the opportunity to forge a new career and leave a dull job; the word "stupid" would be used frequently.

How many singers started off as waitresses? (Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Vanessa Carlton, etc).

How many actors accidentally became actors? (Harrison Ford, Helena Bonham Carter, etc).

What's wrong with trying to create luck instead of waiting for it?
