After just under 15 mins, the 1st 2 nights at wembley for Madonnas Confessions on a world tour have sold out. 30 Mins later a extra night was added on the 9th Aug. This too now has sold out.

I was lucky to get my tickets for the show on the 1st Aug.
Just proves that people are willing to pay that much for the true queen of pop.

Forget 15mins,went on See tickets just before 9.00am trying to get Springsteen at Hammersmith, refreshed the page continuously until the order details came up,it was showing as sold out by the time I managed to fill in the order form and hit enter-no more than two-two and a half minutes at most!

I did manage to get some for his Manchester show though.

The wembley stadium will not be ready in August.
Madonna is playing at wembley arena which is a different place.

Just been on Seetickets.com and the tour ISN'T sold out yet. If anybody has money to burn there's stll time to do so. I'm not bothering at these prices and I hope the Ebay cretins get their fingers burnt.

Just had a look on e bay at that also, amazing that people are actually bidding for it.
Makes me laugh, it says 7 rows from the front. For that price Il'd wanna be on stage with her!
I have to wait for the dvd to come out too Way too much money for me.

Oh damn.

The last two times she was on at Earls Court, I was up by 7.45, the fone lines opened at 8.00. Just so I could get straight on the fone line to get through. I was still trying to get through for hours.

Im just gutted she isnt on at Earls Court. I cant believe Im not gonna be able to go and see her in concert again. My fiance and me would have gone otherwise.

I like Madonna but I think ticket prices for "big" artists is getting ridiculous now, as is the clamour to see them.

Yes I know it's supposed to be all about "being there" (even though these days that often involves peering at stick men on a stage in the far distance), but frankly I can't be arsed and would rather wait for the DVD.

I saw The Stones in Stuttgart in 1999 for about GBP 30, which I could just about justify, plus we had fairly decent seats. This time round they're charging as much as GBP 150, so no thanks!!

I think Madonna is charging GBP 160 - again, way over the top. And anyone bidding over a grand on eBay for tickets needs their head examining.

I remember going to see Queen in 1982, paying 9 quid for the ticket (I still have the stub) and thinking that was an absolute fortune for a concert!! How times have changed.

eBay I actually part of the problem as to why (a) concerts sell out so quickly and therefore (b) why tickets get disproportionately more expensive with each successive tour.

What's happened is that eBay has turned everyone and his dog into virtual ticket touts. Because let's face it, with eBay you're operating from the comfort of your own home, you have far more time to sell and a much bigger pool of potential punters to buy your tickets than you would have had in the old days, pacing up and down outside the venue on the night of the concert, looking iffy. There's less risk involved, and much less hassle. Even my mother could do it if she wanted to!

So people are chancing their arm and giving it a go. Which means that when acts like Madonna, the Stones, Bon Jovi, Springsteen or anyone else "big" does a tour, people who a few years back wouldn't have bothered buying tickets - and who may not even like Madonna (or whoever) are now buying up tickets in the hope of making a fast buck on eBay. And so tickets become ever harder to come by with each successive tour, and people are as a result willing to pay silly money to get hold of them. The laws of supply and demand kick in.

It's now even starting to happen to a lesser degree with "smaller" acts - bands who before might not have sold out so quickly or not even sold out at all are now selling out faster because of the eBay speculators.

Its down to supply and demand i know and up until this morning i would have done the same.( as in selling on on ebay) ..but now because i hav'nt been able to get a decent seat i am fuming.......maybe its retribution!!!

we all looked down on ticket towts and exortionate prices......now it seems to be the done thing!!

As if the prices werent bad enough to start with!!

I think ive learnt an important lesson today!!!

I feel a bit sucked in by this mornings hoohah, if I'd been patient I would have got better tickets at one of the later venues. Still just glad to be going, and the fact that the Travelodge in Wembley are offering £26 hotel rooms that night has cheered me up!
