Hi,

I'm moving ISP to Wanadoo in a couple of weeks and qill get the Talk service bundled on because of my broadband - I've used BT Broadband Voice before, but didn't like the 05 number they gave out.

What sort of number is it Wanadoo issue? an 0845 one or is it geographic?

Thanks,

David

I use it aswell, and it works fantastically. I was a little wary at first, as my only other VoIP experience was with Skype, and I didn't like the slight delay you got, however Wanadoo Talk works perfectly.

Shame it's an 0845 number, means it's more expensive for people to call you, and isn't included in inclusive minutes. I suppose they have done this so they can earn the revenue cut from the 0845 number.

If they are on Wireless and Talk, too, they can call for nothing. Otherwise, they can call you on your normal BT line. Out of hours (and weekends) you can then call them back for free.

Rgds,

Don't worry mate, I'm on OS X aswell.

Simply plug the Livebox into the Ethernet socket and navigate Safari/Firefox/other browser to http://192.168.1.1/ , click "Access to the configuration pages". It will ask for a username and password to access the router, both username and password are "admin" without the quote marks. Then, on the page you arrive at there is room to put your Wanadoo username and password.

A word of warning, my Wanadoo Talk service wasn't activated for a good 2 weeks. I could use the internet, obviously, but couldn't make phone calls. Now it has been activated however, I'm very happy with it.

Do you have a built in wireless card in your Mac? If so, then yes, you can connect wirelessly, but you need to do some additional modem configuration before it works correctly.

PM me for more

Thanks
