Are there any HD ready projectors on the market that have a HDMI input?.

If so, what prices are they?.

Panasonic make a PTAE-900 which is supposed to be very good. It has an HDMI input and has a native 720p panel.

Take a look here: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1638...rojector.html#

Bargain price if you ask me. I think the retail price is somewhere around £1500!

Well they also have this:

The Hitachi PJ-TX200 (which recently got best budget projetor under £2000! in Home Cinema Choice magazine!)

At £999 another absolute bargain! This one also retails around the £1500 mark.

That is a nice one and it a good price.
Would the resolution of 1280 x 720 mean you won't get the full HD benefits.
Isn't it 1366 x 768 or something?.
Would this make any big difference in your opinion?.

Actually 1280x720 is the correct ratio - the size 720p actually is.

The LCD TV's have to scale this slightly to their 1366 x 768 screens.

So I guess in theory the projectors should look better!

I've read some very good things about the Themescene HD72i which (I think) has HDMI in. Worth a look at

Hope that helps,
